Muse is not looking forward to a certain event.

Mun, I know you want to do this, but Doc just got here. Can't you wait at least a few weeks before you do this to me? I don't even see why you still plan on doing this unless it's a plan to get everyone to hate me. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the point, actually... But you said it yourself that you hated the idea of it lasting forever. So why not just wait a little while longer until you feel more comfortable with... this, okay?

We've had some experience with that sorta thing too. I bet we could get it back if that happened. [Chris Kratt: Tempter of Fate.]

Yeah, that would definitely not be a good thing to have happen.
beingthecreature: (☼ Roo: Whoa.. what happened...)

What did-? Oh. [Right, the earlier comment.] Aheh, about that...

Remember I said that the suits allowed us to become any creature?

Well, Aviva was trying to make a "cheetah racer" once while we were in Africa, and so we needed information about how cheetahs moved and why they could be so fast. I decided to be a gazelle. [He rubs the back of his neck, chuckling shortly.] Not my brightest of ideas. Thankfully Blur-- our cheetah study --saw me more as a plaything than a prey item, but I spent most of that day running from her while Aviva went on her way making the racer.
beingthecreature: (☼ Congrats!)

[personal profile] beingthecreature 2012-05-17 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, we get lucky like that a lot. [Seriously, they're almost eaten almost every episode.] But Blur's a familiar cheetah to us, she was just playing around. Even if it was really tiring.
beingthecreature: (☼ Alright!)

Prrretty interesting. [He laughs and smiles.] Probably one of my favorite creature power suits, even if it does weird things to my eating habits. [Snickers.] Gazelles are so agile though, it's hard NOT to enjoy it.
beingthecreature: (☼ Alright you have a point...)

[personal profile] beingthecreature 2012-05-17 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
Actually... yeah. Repeatedly. The suits seem to have food as a high priority, just like most animals. My sudden like for grass as a gazelle wasn't the first time, nor has it been the last, either Martin or I have had intense food reactions while powered up.
beingthecreature: (☼ Gentle words)

Ah, it's not so bad. It's easy to get a feel of what it's like to be the creature, and if we as people can understand them, then we can protect them.
beingthecreature: (☼ I guess so?)

[personal profile] beingthecreature 2012-05-17 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
Well, the nice thing is, you don't have to be a biologist to understand creatures, or want to protect them. In fact, my bro and I have been working long years trying to instill that in people, a love of animals, a respect for them. So many species are becoming endangered, or threatened, and even going extinct, and too much of it is preventable if people could just be conscious of how they affect other species.
beingthecreature: (☼ And that's the gist of it!)

Then try next time you're home, or get your mun to start something. There's a lot of simple ways anyone can do to help creatures, like cutting up can holders, cleaning up litter, recycling plastic bags instead of throwing them out, or not buying animal products.

Good. So long as someone remembers it, then I've done my job.
