There's squid-tan, but you rode him the last time you were here, so it might be harder to sneak up on him this time around. I guess you could try to ride the sandworms, but they're pretty vicious and they do go underground, so you might find yourself neck-deep in sand before you can say "sand chafes."

My suggestion? Bring Appa. He'll be your best, safest, most trustworthy option.
