You are first overjoyed that you've come upon a popular "muse" in a popular "canon" for once in your miserable existence of participating in a hobby that allows you to pretend to be someone better than you could ever possibly be.

Then, you immediately become frustrated that you can't find a game in which some other peon is not already pretending to be me.

Yes, I can tell that this is going to be a glorious and worthwhile partnership.

Oh and by the way, I do not appreciate being called a mere muse. I am a real god, you ridiculous mortal.

Do not underestimate them, Loki. These mortals may surprise you yet, and you will find that rail as you will, they will have the last say here.

You have always been more willing to be manipulated into deference than I. That is why you are favored and I am feared.

A good ruler does not sway his people through their fear of him, brother. He must attain their respect, as well, or they will merely wait for an opportunity to o'erthrow him.

You prove my point. For I seem to recall that you learned that so-called lesson when you were hurled to Earth, so that you might become a puppet leader rather than a bold one.

In that way I still respect him, you know. How willing some are to bow if only you make them think it was their own choice to do so. The illusion of autonomy is powerful, although not my style.

I learned that lesson through seeing what these mortals had to offer, as more than just pawns.

I suppose mortals like that girl of yours could be put to more carnal uses. If only they didn't dry and wither so quickly.

But the fact remains that you bent to the will of another, and you've convinced yourself that it was your own doing. It's amusing, really.

Is every version of you so entitled that you must look down upon mortals? I am sure there is a game somewhere that you mundane can send you to.

And there, you may learn to be more friendly with mortals.

It's only natural to look down on something that's below you. Besides, I have no quarrel with mortals who know their place.

Mortals have more potential than we gods.

Well, that's just a silly thing to say.

Perhaps to you, Loki but you haven't spent the same time that I have, among mortals.

Perhaps next you should spend time among single-celled organisms and write them epics of their vast potential.

That is not the duty of a Valkyrie. Perhaps a certain foul-temptered Trickster would be better suited for that.

I begin to think I would have more stimulating exchanges with them than I am having now.

Was I meant to stimulate you with conversation?
