I'm sorry to interrupt you, mun. I know you're working hard on that...application?

I just wanted to let you know how happy I am to be back. It feels like it's been a really long time since we last talked!

I hope we'll get to see Serph and all of our comrades again soon. I really do hope they're all safe...

[Did someone say his name?

Have a smile, Sera; it's good to see you.]

Serph? [A pause.] Serph! [Have a great big hug, Serph!]

[Awww yes, it really is Sera! Hugging back and not letting go until you do; he's missed you.]

[Nothing can go wrong now!] Oh Serph, I'm so glad you're here. I was so worried.

[Nothing can possibly go wrong! Nothing!!

He's here now, and perfectly fine. There's a hint of concern in his voice; after all, the last time he saw her, the Karma Temple exploded.]

Are you alright?

[She pries herself away from his chest for a moment to look up at his face.]

I think so. When I didn't feel your hand, I- I didn't know what would happen to you.

[He didn't either. Feeling Sera's hand just slip out of his grasp... that was like a punch to the gut.

Serph reaches for Sera's hand to gently hold it and give it a reassuring squeeze. But here's here now.]

[That makes her feel even more assured. She pushes her fingers in between his.]

Do you like it there? Under the water?

[Serph nods.]

It's peaceful.

[Usually. But more importantly!!]

There's a beach above the water.

[That is a -very- important detail to bring up!]

Really?

[A nod. Really!]

There's a blue sky, too.

[No ship, though.]

Sera! ( he's a little surprised at his own reaction, and looks away shortly after calling out to her... whoops )

[She startles subtly, and approaches carefully.] Heat!

...Are you okay?

( he's pretty much trying to avoid eye contact... ) You -- you shouldn't be here!

What? I don't understand... [She takes another step closer.]

This isn't... ( god dammit. why are words harder when you're around?! this doesn't make sense!! ) It's not a good place for you!

[Look what you did, Heat. Now she's confused. And a little upset, but trying hard to hold that back.]

I'm sorry...

You don't have to -- I mean -- ( dammit! why did it always go this way?! he slams a fist into the nearest... probably a wall -- ) It's not safe, all right?!

[She gasps. All steps taken towards Heat have now been reversed. Why so scary, big brother?]

( he doesn't mean to... really... in fact, he seems to realize that he's gone a little too far, and loses face for a minute as he turns to her, then quickly looks away again, retracting his fist back to his side... ) Sera, I... ( he's sorry... )
