A Spirit is someone who doesn't realize they're dead yet. A Ghost is someone who does and is willing to do the time for their crime. An Echo is a Ghost who's gone berserk, the energy transforming them into a twisted creature. Those tend to be what I fight the mot often.

Though sometimes Spirits become Echoes... and those are much harder to face.
