Nick Fury is not someone we should be trusting, and I hear it enough from Pietro, you need not remind me. This is not an issue of trusting SHIELD, but rather an issue of not trusting...well, let's say old friends for safety's sake. It's a case of the lesser evil, or at least the best option present.

Either way, I have never heard a single negative thing about Captain America, obnoxious levels of patriotism aside (Pietro's words, not mine), and a good man without an agenda is not something any of the other options have at their disposal.

I can't say I've heard much good about the rest of them, though, but that's humanity for you.
