Voice-testing like woah.

Actually? I think I rather liked being kept in the back of your mind and completely ignored. It was a nice change.

Let's think about it this way. You and I both know you don't have time to do anything with me, and honestly, I'm not complaining. All I'm saying is that just because you're doing an entire re-read of the series doesn't mean you have to go and start obsessing over icons and canon points and layouts and--

...you're not even listening to me, are you?

"Alright. So. There's six billion people on the planet, any one of whom could be talented magically. We have no way of telling if they are without at least brief face-to-face contact. And there's less than two thousand of us. What's your plan again?"

"Good idea. That makes... one person for every two or three million. Then what?"
quicktoanger: (Really?)

"One person, individually inspecting three million people for talent?"

I raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, it's so simple. Why didn't I think of it before? Oh, and this while also trying to stop the Red Court of Vampires from destroying us. And keeping our areas free of predation from black magic. And trying to conduct our own business and affairs. And teach the students we do find."

"Well, actually, that's sort of what I've been doing. Most of them aren't talented enough to be big-league players, but I've been doing my best to teach and organize the minor talents."

Along with Elaine, but he didn't need to know about her.

"Called it the Paranet. Individually, not a whole lot, but there's a lot of them, and I'm hoping the idea takes off."
