I believe this writer is a bit mad. She keeps saying something about vampires. [ Which of course do not exist because they haven't been proved to exist. Mummies are one thing, vampires are completely different. ]

[He's a bit thrown off here, to be honest. He's shown up in a weird place he can't escape and there's no one he can threaten to push into a ceiling fan to figure it out.]

Guess it's not any crazier than everything else.

Don't be ridiculous. They don't exist.

[ Yes, well, she's certain his writer is rather thankful that he can't reach her. ]

But she does seem to be going back and forth on sending me to one of these... places.

You didn't think mummies were real, either.

I knew mummies were real. I just didn't believe in curses that would make them walk about after death and attempt to kill people.

Places. [ There's a gesture at the area around them. ] My observations have led me to believe that this is simply a... a meeting area of sorts. At times the writers will send us off to something they call a 'game', the setting of which changes depending on which 'game' and contains dozens of other people like ourselves. It would be rather exciting if it were up to us, but some of the premises and events are just terrible.

I can't say that I blame you, but not all of these places are bad. They may not have as much sand as we're used to, though.

After the past few days, a bit of time away from sand might be nice. [ She doesn't mean that, though, not really. ] Still, I'm not sure if I'm more worried about the places or what she might decide to get me involved with in them.

Then again, I suppose if one can't trust one's self, then they can't quite trust anyone.
