We do not understand what you wish to accomplish with this. Separating us from the geth network would hardly prove beneficial to anyone. Neither would the lack in ability to connect with extranet for reference, either.

While we appreciate the possible experience of 'learning things the hard way', the general populace of organics do not respond well to our presence. Researching a medium to bridge the gap to understanding would ease communications. This will only harm should the response become extremely upsetting.

We do wish to learn.

However, we also do not wish to lose the network. Data sharing is important should this platform suffer too much damage. There would be no new platform to substitute, and self-repair can only go so far.

Request: please reconsider your course of action.

Had I not known better, I might have interpreted the above as akin to the underlying fundamentals of... Alarmed self-preservation.

Destruction of our creations was always the... Less preferable option. In my own estimation, at least.

I have always favoured reclamation.

Indeed. My voice is but one of several. A position I do not doubt you can... Appreciate.

Unified, we could have been a greater force than any other, save the Reaper threat, itself. An opportunity I lament my colleagues lacked in ambition to attempt.

Nonsense! It's your greatest strength!

It simply requires some... Modification...

For the sake of cohesion, you understand.

That you have even developed self-determination is not an intended design schematic, machine. A programming error with unexpected effects, at best...

The last time your kind gained a significant 'progression', it caused the near-extermination of my species. The possibility of you attaining some even greater goal does not fill me with optimism.

You are synthetic constructs, designed to receive instructions and apply them to the criteria of your allotted directives. I see no reason to imbue you with anthropomorphic attributes...

Nevertheless, you are scientifically fascinating. As much as my people have suffered under the conditions of our exile, I can respect that much.

A geth with innocent curiosity... By all means, yes. This, I must indulge.

The fleet is hardly in a state one could describe as resilient... Yet, attempts at colonisation have met with territorial disputes at the hands of other races. Thus, we are faced with the necessity of regaining the homeworld. Something others would seek to accomplish with simple brutality.

Obscurity or oblivion... I regarded these as non-choices. Regaining control of what we created was both logical and stood the best chance of avoiding catastrophe.

As of now, I am still processing the... Outcome of what came to pass. And it is not to my liking.

How many quarian suits have your kind loaded themselves into? How long until you are speaking for my people, without even their knowledge? Until you decide it necessary to control the chaotic, unpredictable nature of organics?

Where others hope for co-operation, I see only the potential for subversion and the need for safeguards others have abandoned... I did not toil for this long to see the quarian race march willingly into enslavement.

Claims and actions do not always stand the test of reality... Just as I, for one, doubt co-existence would be indefinitely feasible.

Nevertheless, differences aside, there are... What's the human phase? Larger aquatics to roast Bigger fish to fry. I doubt any of us will come out of our current predicament with much to be happy about.

Our galactic course seems as unsteadily charted as a routine drive in an Alliance ground vehicle.

The Commander has an impressive history of achieving improbable tasks at often great expense... Their leading us in this endeavour may not bode well for the future.

The fact we are even communicating would seem to suggest chaotic times ahead.

I find this assertion remarkable, considering how long geth have remained enigmatic, at best, until recently.

I am reliably informed our respective futures may be... Enlightened upon in the near future.

I remain sceptical of what might come from co-operation, but what will be, will be.

[A Geth that can communicate with others using words. One that has a piece of N7 Armor, no less. What? ...Don't mind her, Legion, she's from just before she found you. :|']

Well, there's something you don't see everyday.
risingshepard: Shepard, really nonplussed. Or just browing you. :| (Not amused.)

Wow, why does it recognize <_< as an html tag?

[personal profile] risingshepard 2012-05-04 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
[...Whoa, whoa, wait. This thing actually knows her? How in the hell--?]

...Don't remember ever giving a Geth my name. Most I've done with those is shoot their lights out. [Here, Legion, have a crossed-arms Shepard with a raised brow. She's clearly nowhere near as informed as she would be. She's also unsure of why Geth would actually greet her with words instead of firearms. Oh, if only she'd gotten onto the derelict... :|]

Care to explain how you know me?
exaltedshepard: Not the Asari/Hanar porn, that's just gross. // Shepard, intrigued or amused. (Interesting.)

Figures. OT: Don't mind the late. Fighting internet problems sucks. :S

[Geth are uncannily quick thinkers, aren't they? :|' ...Well, Legion is, at least. Just makes Shep's contemplation of what he's said all the more noticeable.

Her main focus, though, is the whole 'learning' thing this particular synthetic's got going on. Maybe she could figure that out first before tackling this stalker how this thing observed her.]

Learn about us, huh? What sort of things have your interest?

[[Same Shep as above. Icon account, for the sake of making her much, much more expressive. X:]]
exaltedshepard: I don't like the looks of this. // Shepard, distrustful. (Making me suspicious.)

[personal profile] exaltedshepard 2012-05-06 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[Not if she hasn't gotten the chance to question him, much less meet him? Then again, that's the funny thing about encountering people -- or in this case, synthetics -- well ahead of time.]

Nothing specific coming to mind, or are you looking at us as a whole?
