Liesel, she's...my best friend. [ At this point in his life, that was the most appropriate way to describe her. ]

Some of them are better than others. I was in one that was great, everything I ever wanted, until... things happened. But even then, it wasn't all bad. Just... depressing and complicated.

[Luke nods.] If my best friend were here I'd go wherever he went. Or I'd want to, anyway, my mun's overprotective. [He scowls back over his shoulder.]

Mine is the same way with me. I don't know who's worse, her or Liesel.

It was nice having that many people around who cared about me, and how I was doing. Not that they don't back home! I love my aunt and uncle, and Biggs is amazing. Just... I don't know.

Yeah. Some of them... a couple of them I always wanted to know, and even if one was kind of the worst ever, it was nice to meet my mom.



No. My mun's so picky! She doesn't want me hurt pointlessly or in a place that's all full of despair, okay, I don't want that either, or a place full of constant ridiculous "events", but then there's all these other restrictions. Like, I don't need someone to take care of me, I'm thirteen.
