He's not mad, he's just disappointed.
Feb. 25th, 2018 03:30 pmPut me back in the game.
I don't care why you took me out. I'm sorry to seem rude but I finally had back-up. I wasn't the only superhero all the time, people didn't need me all the time, I could fight crime and get a full night's sleep in. It was everything I ever dreamed of. Okay, yeah, I get that Angola is a blurry mishmash of cultures that you're still learning about, and you need to do some more reading. So maybe just do that? The internet is right there. It's not as complicated as you're making it sound in your own head. [He gives his mun a determined look. In his mind, everything is theoretically possible and therefore needs to be attempted. That's half of how he got into the superhero business to begin with.]
Besides, there's other games, right? You could send me to one of them. It can't be hard to find other games where I wouldn't be the only person with superpowers present. Sure, we'll go through the same yes-my-country-is-in-Africa and superpowers-are-genetic speeches I had to go over before, and that'll be a little weird since I won't remember giving them in the past, but once we're over that whole bit I think you've got my voice down well enough that it's smooth sailing.
[Ezequiel rubs at his temples, sighing. He feels so old, sometimes, not in the sense of being wiser than his years, but in some worn-down way he doesn't quite know what to do with. And even his optimism has limits.] Maybe don't, um. Maybe don't get so excited about the idea of putting me in a game with Black Panther, though? He's literally royalty and he's from a country that's not... complicated, the way Angola is. He's not going to give me the time of day just because we're both superheroes who happen to be from Africa. My luck's never been that good. The last time I ran into another superhero on my home turf, she nearly buried me alive. Remember that? That is my level of luck with other people in this business I admire.
...and, um. Please stop side-eyeing memes about romance. I don't have the time for that stuff; I'm a superhero. Not that I'd know what to do if I did.
