It does. I've seen it work even without the Bardic Gifts involved. [He smiles, open and easy.] Old school? I haven't heard of a guitar.

So you're like the real deal? I mean where I'm from there are a lot of musicians, but a true bard's rare.

[ The pats the case over her shoulder. ] This, is a guitar. He's called Lucifer. [ She slips him out of the case.] Where I'm from, Lutes aren't used as much.

Yes. I'm... I'm a Master. I know I look young - I am - but I have earned the title.

[He blinks and chuckles.] Lucifer. That has a nice ring to it. [He looks over the new instrument hungrily.] Can you play him?

That is so cool! [ She's impressed she really is! ]

He helped drag me out of a dark time, so I thought the name fit. [ She nodded as she strummed a few cords, tinkering with the knobs on the neck when the strings sounded off. ] I may dabble a little with music. I'm no master though. Well, not with music. Machines maybe.

[He flushes and frowns faintly.]

Why does the name fit? [Sorry, he has never heard of Lucifer. There is a goddess that oversees Valdemar.] You don't have to be a Master for it to be beautiful and enjoyable.

[ She giggles a little. ] It's a long story, one pretty sure that could be a tad dull.

I agree, people back home didn't really, but... I'm not there anymore so it's all good.

[ She starts playing, the tune's soft and and slightly mournful. ] I could sing it if you want.

Somehow I doubt that. [He knows a thing or two about being in the dark. It's...dull, yes. A lot of the time. And cold. But then it has bright points of interest.]

[ She sings "Sound of silence", since it's the song she was plucking away at on the guitar. ]

[Stefen nods in approval, his hazel eyes slipping closed. When she is finished, he applauds.]

I've never heard a song like that.

I can't take credit for writing it. It's one I picked up when travelling with a friend. [ She bows though. ] Thank you though.

Singing the creations of others furthers their reach. As long as you do not claim it for your own, there is no harm done. [He pulls out his lute and tunes it with deft fingers.]

I rarely play anything of mine. Last time I did... It started a riot. It's why I don't return home.

A whole riot? That sounds like a feat to me! How did you do it?

[poorgirlsarcee]

[ She looked down biting her lip a moment.] The world I grew up on... they were afraid of music. So it was outlawed. I... figured out how to play a ballad, and played it over the PA system at a local shopping center.

[ She toyed with Lucifer a moment. ] The police thought it was some alien weapon and instigated a scene to try to capture me. That's why I can't return home, and why I started travelling.
