My dear mun,

If you must send me to a city full of killers with warring political and criminal elements and deadly things that come out at night, could I not go back to Antiva where it is warm?

No? Then might I at least be assured that there will be plenty of beautiful, dangerous women there? Perhaps a handsome gentleman or two? And what about others from Thedas? It is so much easier to cut through hordes of monsters with the wide blows of a warrior or the healing touch of a mage.

I suppose there will be enough action to keep an assassin such as myself amused. And what's that? There are brothels?

Yes, who wouldn't want to be an assassin on the run for his life?

Having fun could be what determines if you live or die from foolishness.

I fail to see how that is any duty of mine.

[WOW THIS GUY]

It appears no matter what I say, you will choose only to hear what you like.

I believe most would prefer to choose another with less armor and sword.

How is it that you still yet live?

I imagine that's very difficult for you.

Maker, you do get around, don't you?
magerights: (making sure we're alone)

[personal profile] magerights 2012-04-27 11:20 am (UTC)(link)
Well now you've gone and given mine ideas as well, as if there wasn't enough on my plate already.
magerights: (do you even listen to yourself?)

[personal profile] magerights 2012-04-28 11:58 am (UTC)(link)
Being ripped away from my cause again to be taken to another place with no idea of how long it may be for, or if escape is possible? Alone aside from you - someone I won't remember meeting - and Fenris? Yes, that's definitely sounding like something to look forward to.
magerights: (templar sense: tingling)

[personal profile] magerights 2012-04-29 08:08 am (UTC)(link)
There are always injustices, yes. [Sigh.] I suppose if it happens, there'll be little I can do to stop it.

How you can be so positive to being kidnapped against your will, however, I have no idea.
magerights: (I have no other path)

Well I hope you're right about it this time as well. For both our sakes.

Take the Bas Saarebas with you. It will be better for us all.

magerights: (time to choke a bitch)

[personal profile] magerights 2012-04-27 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
Well at least that way your kind wouldn't abuse and mistreat their mages!
sten: (ϟ CALM)

[personal profile] sten 2012-05-06 08:20 am (UTC)(link)
We do neither of those things. Our Saarebas know and accept their place. Magic is a cursed thing that will set everything it touches ablaze. They must struggle daily to resist their curse, and for this, we respect them. The rest of you who know no restraint deserve no respect.
magerights: (care to say that again?)

[personal profile] magerights 2012-05-06 09:21 am (UTC)(link)
Accept their place? Do they even get a choice in the matter? You treat them like slaves! How can they accept what they don't have a choice in?!
sten: (ϟ DEFAULT EXPRESSION)

[personal profile] sten 2012-05-06 09:28 am (UTC)(link)
All Qunari are bound by duty. Our choice is to honor the Qun.
magerights: (templar sense: tingling)

[personal profile] magerights 2012-05-06 10:11 am (UTC)(link)
And if they don't want to, you just kill them, is that it? Obey the Qun and be treated as a slave your entire life, or die? You're worse than the templars.
sten: (ϟ PISSED OFF)

[personal profile] sten 2012-05-06 10:32 am (UTC)(link)
To forsake the Qun is to become a traitor. It does not surprise me that discipline and loyalty to one's duty appears to be slavery to you. Mages such as you would not know discipline if it were a hound nipping at your heels.
magerights: (DID SOMEONE SAY BLOOD MAGIC??)

[personal profile] magerights 2012-05-06 10:54 am (UTC)(link)
How can you say it's loyalty when deciding to go against it means being branded a traitor and put to death if they try to return? At least the Chantry doesn't decide that any mage outside of the Circle should be killed just in case they came into contact with demons!

We're not the monsters here, it's people like you and that Arishok that are! Maybe when mages have won their freedom in Thedas, we'll work to free the Qunari mages as well.
sten: (ϟ GROWL)

[personal profile] sten 2012-05-07 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
A pity. They would at least be doing something beneficial for once.

And yet it was your kind that obliterated your own people and home in Ferelden and who set undead upon Redcliffe. If humans and elves are foolish enough to let their mages run free, being destroyed by them would be a fitting end.
magerights: (DAMMIT FENRIS)

[personal profile] magerights 2012-05-07 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
So because a few mages are bad, all of us should be punished? How is that possibly right or just? Most mages would rather be allowed to live a life in peace, free of magic, they don't seek to rule anyone or summon demons or turn against others! It's because of people like you Qunari and the templars that mages are forced to to turn to blood magic and demons just to protect themselves!
sten: (ϟ HMPH)

[personal profile] sten 2012-05-06 08:22 am (UTC)(link)
[Sigh. A pity, really.] Perhaps not.

That is more than I care to know, elf.
