ataraxion! awaiting the game opening on sunday sob
We cannot both dither about the room in such a fervent manner, and due to seniority (ergo alluding to much practice in the area), I'll have to insist that you take a seat. It's my turn now.
Now, if you're expecting me to laud you on your newest of successes in your recent ventures, I'm afraid this match won't do at all. Really, space? A ship amongst the stars themselves when the technological advances of my age cease at a damned telegraph. That much will be educational, in the least - though I am loathe to admit, I'm most apparently stunted by the inventions of my time - though the hearty chortles at my expense will cease upon pain of ---- pain of something or another.
We'll discuss the other matter at a later date.
Insomuch as you can probably gather, the facts are obvious: I am inarguably intrigued, despite my annoyance. Less obvious therein: I won't put on that suit. You cannot make me.
It itches.

Oh, I should call it foolish, rather than sinister. This is hardly the first time someone incapable of the task has attempted to take advantage of you.

[ He smiles, curtly, and perhaps a bit sardonically. His tone certainly matches it. ]
Have you practice in this area, woman? I daresay you speak out of experience.

I seem to recall rather the opposite.
[She is the woman, after all. And the times at which she has failed... well, it would be indelicate to talk about those, wouldn't it? Holmes surely wouldn't be so impolite.]

Then perhaps another with whom you've attempted to set yourself on par.

I speak merely as an observer.

And, pray tell, to where is it your observations have led you?

That people who have not met you very frequently make the mistake of underestimating you.
[That's all. Nothing else.]
