on coming across Mito/Madara fanart and fanfiction...
...I am inclined to agree with you that they are beautifully crafted, but there is a reason they are classified as 'fan made'.
Please, mundane-san, there is no point dwelling over the possibilities. It never happened.

Yes... Thankfully, there is consolation that they were only fan made.
[ The pictures were tame, but the fan fiction was rather heavy. ]
no subject
Er-- Oh! So they weren't real and stuff.
Lucky for you. I think. Wait. Well, I dunno. It's still pretty bad.
no subject
[ You earn the tiniest of smiles from her for that, Naruto~ ]
Mm, very fortunate, yes. Besides, Madara-san is above such petty designs.
no subject
Doesn't really make sense though, either-- er, yanno?
You're the first host right?
no subject
...What doesn't make sense?
[ That last bit is met with a little gap of silence before she speaks. ]
I am. [ And what was he doing wearing her husband's necklace? She can't help but stare at it for now. ]
no subject
I mean, you know it doesn't make sense about you an' Madara.
[He can see that staring, and he drops his gaze to follow hers, tugging at his jacket a little.]
no subject
...Mm. It shouldn't. Madara wasn't very appreciative towards women.
[ She smiles just a little at the sight of that crystal. ] Where did you get that from?
no subject
Er, he wasn't? What do you me--
[SORRY, DISTRACTED. He'll just glance down again, curl his hand around that crystal and grin.]
Oh. Tsunade-baa-chan gave it to me.
no subject
Mm, he was. He-- [ A pause. The mere memory of him did things inside her chest. ] He was the most selfless man I had ever known. No one could care more for his people than Hashirama did...
Oh-- Well, Madara-- [ Woah okay, distracted. She blinks once, then frowns, trying to place recognition to the name. Tsunade? ]
Tsunade...?
no subject
no subject
...Unfortunately, she has taken to picking out terrible sentence structure in that fic instead of concentrating on the story.

[ She can't help that little twitch of the corner of her lips when she realizes that karma could be good... in the bad way. ]
no subject
Such things do tend to work both ways.
no subject
Mm. But not for 'most'.
[ That smile is barely there, but it is there. ]
no subject
It can work for most. [He knows that first hand.]
[And he is not here for your amusement!]
no subject
[ She will try. ]
Yet there is no certainty that it will.
Allowing another to project a negative image of oneself to the world is inconvenient in most instances, and it is in human nature to react badly to that. Unless, of course, you were counting on it being an advantage.
[ He isn't. She's wondering why he thinks he is so~ ]
no subject
[Well she needs to stop that thinking. He has tentacles you know.]
no subject
Mm. In battle, perhaps, it would be an advantage. You could be weaker than your enemies assume you to be, or stronger.
[ Now tentacles are a definite no-no~ ]
no subject
[Nonsense! Tentacles are always a definite yes.]
no subject
[ When it means it could get her killed? Always a no-no. And that demon fox sealed inside her is going to stir and snarl quite a bit there-- ]
no subject
[It only hurts for a moment~. And that silly, little, demon fox should be very afraid of him.]
no subject
Well, there might be... My mundane may choose to put me into uncomfortable situations merely because she has been influenced by what she has read. However-- [ She's smiling again, but only just. It's barely there. And she dips her head by a fraction of an inch by way of a bow. ] A double-edged sword. One merely needs to learn how to use it.
[ That is no consolation for what will ultimately befall her. She sees no advantage in this, try as she may~ And shh. That demon fox is too cocky to listen; he is only getting antsier. ]
no subject
Also, most people are easily influenced by what they read, hear and see.
[It is so a consolation! Not that he actually will, unless he gets very hungry. And he sees all sorts of advantages, for him anyway. The fox should stay down and know it's place, like the good, little snack it is.]
no subject
I am aware. Perception itself is biased.
[ She isn't very tasty, hopefully, and she likes her fox where it is, for everybody else's sake. No need to burden anybody else with a mass full of hatred~ ]
no subject
It's only biased due to the fact that different people view everything differently from others.
[Ew, like he's actually going to taste her. He's just going to use his tentacles to do unspeakable things to her and that fox of hers. Of course Alex is already a mass of hatred and anger.]
all the philosophy in this thread LOL
...So many truths that this existence may even be an illusion.
[ Mito, however, would like to keep that fox right where it already is. To her it is an advantage. He is better off consuming someone else-- Like Madara. Or the authors of those grievous fan fictions. ]
Blame our characters? XD
[So...he consumes everyone, including her?]
no subject
[ Mito shrugs at the part about being a detective. ]
I am in no hurry.
[ Everyone in Konoha? With all their powers combined, he just might be able to figure out the question to the answer 42, then put the Universe on restart, maybe. ]
no subject
Though sometimes you should hurry, life passes a person by quicker than they would like to think. [Except for him, of course.]
[Nah, even then he would probably only barely able to figure out the answer to the question.]
@__@ /goes to bed.... at 12pm omfg DX
...A balance could be met.
[ The answer is 42, Alex. It's right there~ ]
Night!
A balance?
[Shush! He can figure this out himself, okay!]
no subject
[ She is going to leave you hanging there now and let you do detective work~ ]
no subject
So late to this post, but I had to ;;
I would certainly hope you weren't associated with that scum in that kind of manner.
Awww Mito's grandbaby 8D
[ And she is going to sigh, exasperated. All these doubts and questions just because somebody decided to rewrite her life and make head canon out of it. ]
No, I wasn't, and will never be. Unfortunately, some writers are rather good at twisting the truth and filling in the blanks with fantasies and... appalling detail...
[ Having said that, she can't help but notice the similar diamond chakra concentration mark on the other's forehead. There is that awkward feeling that she is supposed to know this person, but cannot put a name to the face. Blame her scholarly tendencies - she could quote a line from any book, name its author and date of publication, perhaps even tell you the page that very line was on. But when it came to people, Mito sometimes failed. She isn't quite sure what's going on here... ]
[ ooc: Mito here is taken from when she was rather young, a little after having Kurama sealed in her. She'd be surprised to find out she had grandbabies~ ]
:D Can't resist~
How obnoxiously familiar with all of that I am, you'd think that they would go after the younger set, but I don't seem to get that lucky.
[That look kind of gets her to shift a bit awkwardly, figuring that she probably has no idea who she is. Well, this place could do worse, couldn't it?]
... You have no idea who I am, do you?
<333 She is going to be oh so proud when she finds out |8
[ The next question makes her shift a little uncomfortably, and she stares at her hands folded neatly in her lap for a moment. Oh dear. So it was somebody she is supposed to know. ]
Forgive me...
[ How awkward |8 Were they school mates? Long lost cousins? Mito was wracking her brains trying to draw up a connection. ]
D'aaaw. <3333
[That sort of set in stone that she was from an interesting time at least. No offense taken she smiles a bit at her, leaning against convenient wall there.]
Forgive me if this sounds a bit... strange. But I'm your grand-daughter.
no subject
[ Mito bites her lower lip gently here. Being as old fashioned as she is, she still considers it rather appalling. She also finds it ridiculous that anyone should think she would want, need, someone else when she already has.... had-- the best man anybody could ever ask for... ]
[ And when Tsunade explains to her that she is her grand-daughter, Mito archs an eyebrow, not amused in the least. ]
The fan fiction was distasteful, but this is cruelty.
[ She is trying hard not to clutch her kimono too tight... ]
no subject
[Of course, she should have expected for her to not believe a word of what she was saying. A frown crosses her features, hands clasping together behind her back in an effort to keep herself in check. Can't get carried away or out of hand.]
It's not cruelty, it's the simple truth. Where I'm from we're already on the fifth of the Hokages, it's... been quite some time since you and Hashirama were around.
no subject
[ And as the other speaks, Mito stares at Tsunade for a good long time, the fact that she is talking to her granddaughter ever so slowly sinking in. But there is something else, something else that adds to the growing smile on her face: It meant she was allowed to hope. Despite the nine-tails sealed within her, despite its greed in sucking out the life of her unborn children, there was hope that at least one would survive. How else could she have had a granddaughter? ]
Five Hokages... [ That is quite some time~ ] Would I know of the fifth? A family name, perhaps?
[ There is a brief pause in which Mito absently pinches the ink stains on the side of her thumb, looking up at Tsunade now with a very different expression. She knew it was not wise to accept something so soon without proof, but there is an odd familiarity. Perhaps it was the matching mark on the other's forehead. ]
And what is... your name?
