A world that credits a giant with its creation is unknown to me. My people and I are seen as nothing more than monsters meant to be feared at best or slain at worst.

While they give thanks to some giants, it is not always the case. Especially with my kind, the nephilim.

Some thanks is better than nothing at all. My own son despises his kind, so much so that he murdered his own father and tried to destroy our people and our realm.

...I had a feeling that he was perfectly capable of killing me and his father at any given time. But I honestly am baffled that he chose to take out his frustrations on our entire race.

He was taken from us when he was merely an infant. Our enemy thought we had abandoned him. Under normal circumstances, he would have been as he was a runt. But what they failed to realize is that as the rulers of the realm, we would not have abandoned any of our offspring. He was raised to think the worst of our kind, why should he believe that his father and I would have kept him if we had been given a choice?
