Com'on, Mako. Amon is out there and as long as he goes unchecked none of us are safe. He's no better than the punk benders who terrorize non-benders because he takes things by force. I can't stand by and let him continue on like this so the less time spent in this woman's headspace, the better.

Besides - she doesn't even feel confident in my 'voice' yet. How am I supposed to deal with a mun who doesn't have the guts to go all out?

Yeah. I know. I... was at one of the rallies for the anti-benders. Amon was there. He... he took away a bender's power. I saw him do it. He wants to do that to all of us. He wants to take part of who we are - to eliminate benders completely.

I thought so, too, but it isn't! Avatar Aang did it once. I don't know how Amon got such power but he has it and now we're all in danger.

Cheif Bei Fong, he has a lot of supporters. More than anyone I know thought. They - they were cheering him on. I mean, some of them deserved it. One of them was a punk I took out my first day in Republic City. But others - they had done nothing wrong except to be born a bender. I... can sort of see your point now - about people taking the law into their own hands. One of my friends nearly lost his abilities because of Amon doing just that.

Tenzin seems to think there has always been hatred held by some non-benders. I think that's one of the reasons he stayed in Republic City - to try and protect it but... this is way more than he was expecting.

Um... well... I kinda, already, sort of did that. [nervous laugh] But we had to get my friend back! Amon had taken him and was going to use him as a sort of... sacrifice in front of his supporters - take his bending ability away.

Believe me - I don't want that police report to ever exist. It's just - if we hadn't done something one of my friends - one of my best friends - would have lost his bending ability and that's how he makes a living and he's never hurt anyone.

What do me mean that's it? Amon is stirring up non-benders to act out on long held hatred. Innocent people will suffer - maybe even die. He wants to eradicate an entire race, my people - benders.

People die everyday. And every hatred is generally driven by some form of a motive. If he wishes to eradicate a group of people then there must be a very strong motive behind it.

But - NO! You can't do that. You can't just take out your hate of one individual on people who may not have even been BORN yet when you were wronged!

Of course you can. It's been done before. Though that doesn't make it any less wrong to do. One can do it.

That's true but that doesn't mean a person shouldn't, at least, try stop it.
