detectivedipstick: (Don't you try and trivialize police work)

Mun wants to talk about Thunder over Louisville, Lassie wants to solve crime. A dilemma happens.

While you're sitting there being annoying with all the talk about how "awesome" that firework show was, I could have been several steps closer to figuring out how to get the hell out of Mayfield and bringing those responsible for kidnapping two law enforcement officers to justice.

Just because I allowed O'Hara to be lead detective in this investigation doesn't mean to let her do all the work, Mundane.

...and for the love of Justice, do not bring up Spencer's name again. While O'Hara may have been forced into a marriage with someone who looks like Ewan McGregor and claims to be Ben Kenobi, that is not an excuse to go searching for him.

He's a little reckless sometimes, yes, but he's not stupid. Besides, he'd have you and I to look after him. [ Pause. ] And by that I mean mostly me.

Anyway, the fact remains that he's managed to divine unexpected things before that have been crucial to solving several cases. Even you can't deny that.

Seriously? You're citing luck as the reason behind his success? That might work if we were talking about a case or two, but we aren't. Oh yeah, and that polygraph test you just had to subject him to - the one he aced with flying colors, remember - is also a pretty strong point in his favor.
