I still haven't figured out Earth yet. I just learned what passes for normal clothing on that planet, and that does not even scratch the surface of what I have to learn there. Even now you... hand-wave the language barrier.

I'm not ready for a new home.


Do they at least have a yellow sun like the one from Earth? I'd rather not leave that behind.

It's hard to keep up with. Everything changes so fast.

[Looks surprised and rests his hand on the back of his neck.] Does that mean you don't think I'm going to turn into a mindless killing machine?

[ Woops. ] Uhh... no I kind of still think that's going to happen.

But it's not really my business. [ Yet. ]

[Frowns.] If you really think that's a possibly, why aren't you helping me? I don't want to become like that but I barely know anything about the clones from Krypton.

I know about clones. I don't know anything specific.

I have my own mysteries I'm trying to chase, too.

That makes two of us. [Just his luck, he feels like he's never going to get any answers. Though hopefully Tim's lab results will be able to yield some answers.]

What's the place like that your mun is thinking of sending you to?

I guess we both have a lot of work left to do...

It's got these cities inside of domes. [ Like the one that protected her home... ] But we live outside the cities. It's not supposed to be too great out there.

[Nods.] That's probably why my mun sent me where she did. I was sent to two different prisons. One of them, I'm apparently there for life unless I get "loss". It's not much of a prison, it has a library, beach, restaurants and arts and craft lessons. The other place, the Barge, focuses on rehabilitation. Which for me, means learning more about ethics and morality.

Neither of those places sound too good.

It seems like we both got even worse luck for new places to go to. You'd think it couldn't get any worse then our own worlds, but...

I don't mind the Barge, I can eventually graduate from there and leave. I can also become a Warden and help others there, in exchange for a favor from the Admiral.

Back in our world...[Shakes his head.] Every time I think things couldn't get any worse, they somehow do.

I doubt we'll ever feel completely at home.
