You could change my history just a bit, couldn't you? So that I still work for the Mage's Collective? Of course I'll go back eventually, they're the only home I have. It'd be hard to admit how foolish I was, yes, but no one would need to know. You can just...gloss over that part, can't you?
Anyway, the important thing is the work. That'd give me an excuse to go anywhere, which is what you need, isn't it? My own wanderings will only take me so far.
And it is important. There are so many apostates where you want to send me. They should know that it's possible to find a home outside the Circle. That they aren't alone. How will any of us survive if we don't watch out for each other?
...all right, I'd survive. But just because I'm good at running and hiding doesn't mean I want to do nothing else.
