You've done it. It's final upon them accepting me. I still don't like the canon point you've chosen for me but I know by now arguing about it is pointless. I'll do what I've always done; I'll push on.

I'm not going to tell them about what's happening back home. I can't put that on them on top of everything else they're going through right now. I'll bear this burden alone. As well as the burden of watching the traitor when he appears. I may not be King anymore but I still have a responsibility to my people and to my friends. And I won't let them down. Not again.

Yes, I suppose you're right. Naugus isn't the type to be able to hold back his true nature for very long. But in the meantime he has your people all to himself; Some King's would find that just as worrisome. Especially considering his power.

True, but I think just the fact he's already pre-emptively booted himself from the kingdom is enough to keep him good and downtrodden for a while, luv.

I do find it worrisome. But I have to have faith in my friends and my people. And I do.

Your friends are under the same rule as your people. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they found themselves in the same situation as yourself eventually. I must say, it's fairly unexpected for one of the Goodies of your Kingdom to have contingencies of any kind. You're very surprising.

That I will not allow to happen. Too many have sacrificed too much to allow it to come to an end now.

Considering your powerless, not present, and have less prowess than most of the average freedom fighters, you're in no position to uphold that.

It would be most convenient thing for them to wipe themselves out. However, I hope they make themselves useful and take Eggman with them.

I'd rather my problems remove themselves, yes. Like you my interests lie in preserving and leading my people--and I'll use any means I need to.

...I hate to admit it but in a sense I can respect you for that. I too would do anything for my people to help them.
