Space, huh?
Don't get me wrong, space is awesome—from a distance, when I'm not trapped on a spaceship that uses unstable wormholes as its main method of transportation. And I'm also pretty sure "but Chapel, there are other Order members there!" doesn't really work as an argument when you realize that they're all British and I'm… not.
Just sayin'.

No offense, but it's not exactly working.

Living on a creepy abandoned black hole-powered spaceship, on the other hand, really doesn't sound like a good idea.

Have you considered that it might just be DC trying to knock you off?

Cambridge has tits.
[ What sort of bearing this has on anything at all, Aberdeen isn't clarifying. Though it may have to do with the fact that — British or not — it's weird for her too. ]

aberdeen talks?
excuse chapel while he tries to wrap his brain around these new and important facts.]
Wait, there's a new Cambridge?
no subject
No. The same Cambridge. [ A beat and then, again, to make sure he's been paying attention: ] Only with tits.

Not that it's any less disturbing either way, but that's really not a mental image I needed.
no subject
He's not my Cambridge. [ Again, not particularly helpful but after a while (and wholly tangential): ] You may be needed.

Not that it's even certain I'll be there, but the matter stands.

I don't know if I'm going, either, but when that's pretty much her only selling point... [CONCERNED SHRUG. this is not boding well for him.]

Didn't we have a conversation about bad life decisions, and how to avoid them?

Wanna try talking her out of it?
[help him, boston-wan kenobi.]

I can see that.
I also know when to pick my battles, and this? Is a losing one. For both of us. So no, I don't really want to talk her out of it—but, since I've got nothing to lose, I'll try my hand anyway: Time constraints, prior commitments, incoming workload—school, job, and driving-related. How many of you can she handle? She's obviously a sadist, so I don't think she cares, but it's something to consider. You know. For insurance.

She still says she can do it. The 6'5" wall-of-intimidation doesn't count as a prior commitment, apparently.
... and I think she took "sadist" as a compliment.

—Is he really 6'5"? Christ, there really aren't any short people in space.

Personally, I blame spinal decompression. I think the gravity's lighter up there.

it's not like he's going to kill you.

Yeah, but. Space. Come on. That's amazing.
