[ She won't be technically alone, but the thought still doesn't sit well with him. He blinks away the conflict in his gaze before he speaks, features taking on a softer edge. ]

[ It's almost instinctual for him to wrap his arms around her at this point, both gentle and protective in the same breath. ]

Hey, Annie. [ Said just barely above a whisper. ]

[His arms go around her and instantly she feel sat home. And yet she's worried for him. Is he going to a place like the ones her Mun has looked at? She hasn't even decided on one yet and Annie has been getting more nervous about it the longer she has to wait and wonder.]

Are you okay? Has your mun sent you anywhere? Maybe I could go with you if they haven't yet!! [Words are just falling from her lips, worry clear in her tone. She doesn't want to be separated from him.]

[ He pulls back just enough to unwind one of his arms and brush her hair from her face with gentle fingertips, green eyes seeking hers out. ]

Shhh. I'm okay. We're both okay, alright? [ It's her concern that brings forth the words, though his are steadier and meant to be comforting. ] My mun has a place in mind, but I haven't gone anywhere yet.

[She nods, mind reeling at being able to see him. She'd seen him a few times in this place but each time is like torture.]

Good. Good... I don't want you to go somewhere again.

[Again... she remembered when he'd been sent into the Quarter Quell arena with Mags. It had been agony.]

[ He fights the urge to duck his head at that word. Again. It's almost inevitable in this place, so telling her he isn't going anywhere would be a lie. And lying isn't an option with Annie. ]

I don't want to go anywhere either, but... If I do end up there, Katniss will be there and maybe even Peeta. [ After a flicker of something behind his gaze, one corner of his lips tugs slightly upward. One of those small smiles only she's privy to. ] So if you do come, you won't be alone.
