At the mention of Rock, however, he did perk up.]

She and me share a mun. I know who you are, dude. [Hands the bag to Reid...oh hey it's got a burger and fries in it.] Eat something, I could cut myself on your cheekbones.

As for me...if I told you I was the personification of the United States of America, would you believe me?

Oh. [Oh, hello. Burger and fries? Not his usual fare, but it smelled tasty enough. Of course, he wasn't one for eating food given to him by a random person he just met....

But he knew Rock. How bad could he be?

He shoved a few fries in his mouth before arching a brow.]

In this place, I'd believe just about anything. Though, I'm hoping you have a name, because walking around calling you 'America' might get a little awkward.

Alfred, if it makes you more comfortable. [In general, Alfred isn't a bad guy. He wants to help, much like Rock, but is a lot more pushy than her.] And you work for my boys in the FBI right? A profiler?

[Pushy wasn't always bad. Especially with Reid. Occasionally, he needed a solid shove in the right direction.

Munching a few more fries, he gave a small nod.]

I do. I am. I'm also trying really hard to not think too hard about the fact that the personification of a country currently suffering from an obesity epidemic is pushing food on me. [Have a small smirk, Alfred.]

I won't deny I got a love handle or two. [He pulls off his glasses, cleaning them on his shirt.] But I think it's also because I sort of associate food with comfort...which is the other reason I thought you might like some. Along with the fact my...our food culture was built around making it big and fast so we can all build and move forward quickly.

[He arched a brow, closing the bag for now in favor of the conversation. He wasn't a big fast food eater, but the offer was the important thing.]

Most people associate food with comfort, that's nothing new or even culture based. You can ask any grandmother in any country and she will be able to tell you their great-grandchildren's favorite comfort food. Thank you, by the way. I tend to forget. [He wiggled the bad a little to indicate what he was talking about.]

It's no big deal. I like taking care of people. [He laughs, sliding his glasses back on.] Japan...Kiku, has the same problem. He loves his salty food, don't get me wrong, but he also forgets to eat. When he does he is nowhere near my level. So, you aren't alone.

[The idea of the personification of countries is enough to make his head hurt, but this wasn't even close to the worst he's seen in this place. Besides, if he didn't think about it like that, then Alfred was fairly normal considering some of the people he's met here.

It's actually far easier then people think. I can go entire days without much more then coffee if I'm really focused on something.

I think I've only done it a few times. Mattie says it's because I think with my stomach so much.

I haven't let it get that far since my first doctorate, and that was more a mixture of sleep deprivation and caffeine overdose then being malnourished.

Mattie is what Canada signs his checks with. I got in the habit of calling him that when we were small because I couldn't pronounce what France called him at the time.

He and I have similar faces. So much so that a lot of people confuse us. France and Prussia are about the only ones who don't ever get it confused.

A history lesson given by the countries themselves. Interesting. [He's not kidding, either. Though, he is keeping the fact that by all logic Alfred would be the youngest solidly in his mind...]

So, do you always randomly go around feeding people, or just people who work for you?

Eh, you'll mostly get rather recent stuff from me. You gotta ask France if you want anything really old from Europe...though Turkey can still remember being the Ottoman Empire. [He blushes though, grinning.] Actually, it is a little of both. I can't leave anyone alone.

That makes sense. Well, actually, I wouldn't be surprised if you knew more then you think you do. Just, most of it from over 500 years ago wouldn't be in any language I could understand. After all, just because North America wasn't settled by England until 1492 doesn't mean there wasn't an established culture.

...I find I don't want to comment on that. Or my muse is too tired to start a conversation on politics, which is always an option. It's a topic she avoids like a particularly nasty strain of viral death.

I can get flashes sometimes. Meeting Norway...a woman with long black hair. Sometimes if something relevant is mentioned, I can scrounge up folklore. I want to say there were ones who came before me and Mattie...some of them aren't there anymore.

[He gives a soft sigh of relief.] Trust me. There are something I really don't wanna talk about. Certain ones are old wounds, others...it's too soon to tell.

My mun would like me to point out that the above sentence should have read 'Or my mun is too tired...'. [Oh, the smirking. She also wants to mention that she's awake only by the chemical grace of a 5 hour energy shot, but he wasn't going to point that out.]

I'm sure I'll have several questions for you, but right now I can't say I have one yet. I'm oddly content, which is nothing like how I usually am, which only helps prove my point that mun needs to sleep when she gets off work...
