Hey, hey mun wait a minute. How come Tony gets to {Wait, he needs to hit this real quick. Okay, now with smoke blown in your face listen here mun.}

[She almost wants to cry. It's really him. It's really Chris and the sound that comes out is more of a laugh, a real laugh.]

Wow. I didn't think you were going to eat my brains, Chris. It's just... what happened. I remember it, it happened, and you're here.

{He is totally physced about that laugh but what she says and the look in her eyes has Christ stopping his antics.}

Oh whoa, hey Cas, it's like totally cool. I mean c'mon, I'm okay, look.

{Does a little dance, turning around and jazz fingers the whole nine.}

Fit as a fiddle, you know. Besides, like what you did, you were like there and that's just fucking awesome, cause if you know, you hadn't been I'd have been all alone and that would like totally been the worse.

[She dips her head down, her top teeth jutting out of her lips just a little.]

Hey, hey, don't look like that now Cassie, we should be celebrating, some pills, couple of spliffs, a bottle or two. You know, my mun's got me out here and all that, letting me talk to you.

{Chris is a goof most times, but he has a serious side and he puts an arm around her shoulder.}

[She sniffles and nods. He was right. They could get fucked liked old times.]

Yeah, mate. Can't say I really want to go, I mean whose gonna bring the party. {Chris gives her a big hug, then pulls back claps his hands and rubs them together. Those feels Cassie, they get to Chris}

You always knew how to manage a party. [Except that one time when Cassie threw the party in their very small apartment that wasn't actually his.]

I don't know if there really is one. Just you and me and whatever we want here, yeah?

That I do! {Yeah, that party had one major party pooper being his ex and former teacher showing up. But hey, at least it all turned out alright}

Alright then, party for two coming up. I'll just raid the mun guy over here. {A few moments later Chris has a bottle of some kind of dark alcohol and a nice spliff, he takes a drink and hands it to Cassie.}

You ever wonder how we got in there head? I mean one minute I'm totally trying on this awesome shirt and next I'm in his head and he's all right, Tony goes to sextopia, you stay here and get fucked. {Grins}

[She takes a drink before laying back.]

Everyone's fucked up, Chris. Each got our dreams and goals and the nice shiny ideas. And then things go wrong, people fuck up. So it's like fulfilling something, I think. Or fixing.

She says it's cathartic. Even now. Especially now.

[She shrugs and looks over at him.] It's lovely though. All the problems and entertainment. The angst, and fantasy. Makes you believe anything is possible, yeah? Like the whole world isn't shit. Or at least their world isn't.

Hmm, escapism.

{For a few moments Chris just sits there, then he lights a spliff andbegins to talk as he smokes, using it like an accessory in his expressions.}

It's like, it's always shit right,starts out real good, but then things just happen and there ain't much you can do mate but deal with it. Get fucked, enjoy yourself and just accept shit happens.

{He pauses, takes a hit, hands it to her and takes the bottle taking a big drink.}

Don't matter what world your from, shit is shit and you just gotta wipe it up or some shit. Like me and Jal, it's good, it was good, is, I mean but I caused shit, lots of shit. I got her pregnant you know, don't think she's real happy bout that.

[Cassie takes a deep drag.]

Guess I keep hoping life is going to get better. But everything ends. I was right.

[She just looks at him.] You were brilliant. You tried and you did so much. Secrets, secrets don't help. She would have kept the baby.

{Helen's expression is somewhere between amused and appalled.]

Well, shit has to come to an end sometime right. I mean what if like, we all just kept living and living, we'd turn into skin and bones, be like fucking night of the living dead or something, you know.

{Chris actually almost blushes, grinning at her at the same time.} Right, we don't keep secrets cause we love each other. You taught me that. But, I'm not brilliant, I mean I don't know if I was really ready to be a dad you know, I'm a fuck up Cassie, I've always been a fuck up. Even the mun says Jal would have grown up , got a career, her and I couldn't have worked cause I can't even hold a job hardly and I mean this guy is like inside my head, so he has to know right?

{He just puffs his smoke and grins.}

Charming. [You'll have to forgive her. She was raised in in the Victorian era, and while she is completely familiar with the modern world, she is not always prepared for the newer generations.]

I can tell you right now that arguing with them doesn't do you any good. The muns, I mean. Your efforts are much better spent elsewhere.

Then he's wrong, Chris. Look at how much you've changed. You would have changed the sky for Jal if you could. [And no one's ever done that for her.]

Nah, he's right Cassie, think about it, her and I would have made each other miserable eventually. I mean it was nice, she really tried to help me, but in the end I ain't cut out for all that grown up bullshit you know, I just want to sit back, smoke a few spliffs, take some pills. Maybe have some sex, eat some food. I don't want to be worrying about everything I say or do. Were not you and Sid you know, she wants me to change and the mun says some part of me just won't, too much in my head. {Chris knows there is, way too much in his head.}

Right, we are all just a bunch of fucks up, but we have fun mate, you know, it's the best when everyone can be together just getting along having a good time.

{Chris thinks Cassie deserves that.}

[She noticed that, and will be appraising you right back, but not in nearly the same manner.]
