Stop it.
Don't you think I've had enough? I'm not some kind of plaything for you to mess around with! I didn't get out of that town just to -
- look. You can barely handle your own life right now. The last thing anyone needs is for you to go fucking up mine. Why don't we both just walk away from this right now?

I certainly have thought that a time or two.. but it seems I was mistaken. Either way it doesn't seem quite fair. Never does.
At any rate I highly doubt your puppeteer will listen to you. Never do. Or from what I've gathered. They never hear the whines of their so-called muses. We give them advise and they drowned it out as if we were screeching cats in an alley.
Very pointless to make a fuss unless you can actually change the matter at hand.

It could be worse. Mine writes.

That town?
[Have a (apparently) seven-year-old looking up curiously.] You mean Silent Hill, right?

[and she'll just look at you coolly for a moment. Not really sure what to make of seeing Murphy again, and she's also not sure how he's going to react to seeing her either. It's a weird sort of dynamic between them]
You been alright, Pendleton?
((ooc: if you're still looking for the source of your icons, some of them are from here. I'm really thrilled to see someone's using them ❤))

[He's from the Truth and Justice ending
despite his mun's initial temptation to troll d_m with Execution, so he's...not unhappy to see her. Maybe glad; he isn't exactly sure. It's definitely strange, and that question from her of all people doesn't make it any less so.]I've been fine. Up until this whole mess, anyway. [He casts a frustrated glance off in the general direction of Mun-dom.] How about you? Your guys come and pick you up alright?
(( OOC: Oh, geez, that was you? Small Internet. xD Consider them credited, then! They're very good~ ))
no subject
[but she stops herself from going off on her rant and gives him a long and curious look]
Yeah, they showed up right before you left. They didn't really find anyone else alive, so your chances of staying off the radar are pretty good. I think they've probably written you off like everyone else.
[a brief pause, and then she'll chance giving him a small smile. It's an Anne Cunningham smile, so it's slightly restrained, but it's a smile nonetheless]
It's... good to see you're alright, Pendleton.
((ooc: thank you for the credit, and I'm glad you liked them :'D also, your Murphy... is spectacular))

[He nods at her explanation.] That's good to hear. [...oh, wow, is that a smile? How often has he seen that? He'll definitely take it, though, and return a small one of his own. Smiles haven't come easy to him for a long time now, but that just makes it the more genuine.]
Yeah...you too.
(( Oh gosh, really? I have no idea what I'm doing. xD ))

[Anne can't help being curious, even if it's not a good thing a lot of the time. She's honestly surprised to see him smiling back, and it just makes her own smile widen slightly. She actually looks her age when she smiles, and it's an odd transformation]
Where have you been, exactly? You've apparently stayed off the radar pretty well. What have you been up to?
[she's genuinely curious, because it's actually nice to see him, but also strange]
((ooc: you're doing really well <3 I was just grinning all over the place when I read this entry because it was so IC and his voice was so strong))

[His smile's gone as he talks about it; he's visibly angered by his new...roommates, or whatever the hell they are. Doesn't mean he didn't notice hers, though. She looks nice when she smiles; she should do it more often.]
Oh, you know...doing odd jobs here and there. Keeping on the move. [He visited Charlie's grave, actually, even though he knows going anywhere near home was probably stupid. But he doesn't want to talk about that now. Actually, he's a little surprised he's telling her this much at all, even if she did let him go.] Figured I'd get a few states away before I tried settling down anywhere.
(( <3 I've been contemplating trying to app him someplace once exams die down. No clue where though. ))

He's been keeping them prisoner? Has anyone... done anything about it? Can I...
[she stops, because she knows how this place works. She knows that man and his son and that girl are most likely in a completely different universe and there's nothing she can do to help them. If there was anything that could be done, she feels like Murphy probably would have already done it, anyway. Her own smile faded when he talked about the others in his headspace, and now she looks grim and nods]
That's probably smart, not staying in one place too long. I think last time I checked, they were assuming you were dead, but you can never be too careful.
[she's honestly been hoping she won't turn on the news and see that he got caught. In her own unspoken way, she's been pulling for him]
You haven't been stupid enough to use your real name, I hope.
[she likes you Murphy, but there's no turning off the signature harshness. It's hard not to develop in this job. She's surprised Frank never did. And then she has to pause for a moment so she won't let out any trace of how upset she is thinking about what happened to him escape outwardly]
It must be rough, living that kind of life. Nothing being permanent. If there's something I can do to help out... I'll do what I can.
[after how she treated him before, she feels like it's the least she can do]
((you should do it XD the world always needs more Murphy. We've got a pretty chill SH cast over at

[Not that he sounds especially confident on that front. But there's hardly anything he can do about it either. It was all set up long before he even arrived.]
[He doesn't mind the harshness so much, now that she's not constantly waving a gun at him. He shrugs, with a half-hearted lopsided smile.] Hey, give me some credit. I've been using a different one every couple towns.
[And no, it isn't easy. But honestly, he's not sure when or if he'll ever stop. He isn't sure he really knows how to live a normal life anymore, and less certain if he really deserves it. That offer is a surprise, but they seem to be making a habit of surprising each other today. He'll probably never take her up on it - no need to go screwing up someone else's life - but he appreciates the thought anyway.] Thanks. I'll keep that in mind.
(( Thanks! I'll definitely look into it. ))
no subject
[even if it's halfhearted, seeing him smile makes her smile too. That dark cloud he seems to carry with him everywhere he goes worries her a little, and a momentary break in it is all too welcome]
Well, okay. I guess I should have given you a little more credit. I'll admit that.
[she nods slightly, though she doesn't really believe that he'll actually take her up on her offer at all. He's too self-reliant and too considerate and it just bugs the hell out of her]
I don't think you will, but I'm serious about it. I'm already involved enough that it won't make a difference if I do. It won't make anything worse for me. I want things to be... okay for you, at some point. I expect you to let me help with that.
