I'll not waste my breath pointing out the utter idiocy of your plans to join this game; such words are, to my way of thinking, trite by virtue of their inevitability. Yes, you - like nearly everyone else - have comparatively limited time. And, of course, you wish to play the martyr over this, agonize and complain, so that others will know just how busy and important you are. I'm not going to enable such self-indulgent behavior.

Rather, I'll merely tell you this: if you think you're so utterly and terribly busy, if you think that you've so little time, then don't waste it further with whining. Instead, make it count. I've no use for someone who will dither rather than be a productive member of society.

I got tired of being the obedient little girl when my grandfather decided to have me executed in my doctor's office.

My grandfather, the Regent of my city, wanted me dead. He tried to have me killed in my doctor's office where there would be no cameras to convict him of murder.

My crime was speaking against his authority by asking why we weren't allowed to leave the city.

I thought someone else had done it for a long time, but he was the only man who had access to the machines who made an attempt on my life. I didn't want to believe it was someone I cared about but he did give the order.

Because that's how it goes in my city. No one is supposed to ask questions of the system. We're all supposed to be perfect, quiet little citizens who don't do anything.

"Doubting the system is bad." "Always obey." We teach those very rules to our immigrants.

Ha! Right. Maybe where you come from, but I've never seen him answer for anything he's done. Not the lies, the murders, or the cover-ups. He would purposely make sure I couldn't investigate when people were dying in the city.
