Not that I'm complaining about some of your plans, don't get me wrong. The heart thing? As long as we're not discussing the deal I made, I'm enjoying it! Tons of fun. But let's stick with the happy endings, okay?

[Look, it's been a really long time. He's frowning, trying to call up the memory: he might pride himself on remembering people, but twenty years...

Sorry! Took me a minute. Hey, it's good to see you again. [He eyes Ven.] --and you look like you haven't aged a day. What was that about sleeping, again?

Right! Though I do have a r-- wait! How d'you know about those? [ His eyes light up. ] My friends call me Ven.

[ Implying he and lea are still buddies, no matter how much time may have changed either of them. He relaxes now, rubbing the back of his head. ]

Good to see you, too. [ Uhhhh... ] Don't think I have.

I fought a tough enemy, and my heart kinda.. [ He shakes his head. ] I needed to sleep it off.

That is a really long story. I know a couple of other people with Keyblades now, let's leave it at that!

[And hey, Lea's pretty sure he said they were friends way back when... so why not? They can pick up where they left off. More or less.

His expression goes sober at Ven's explanation.]

[ That works for him! Though his own expression remains grave, too. ]

Yeah. It was a choice to keep my friends safe from him.

[ But Lea's optimism has him shaking his head to clear out the lingering negativity and grinning. ]

Hey, it's pretty special to see you again, too. I've just gotten to this underwater city not too long ago, and found Terra and Aqua. So things aren't too bad.

But I'm really outta shape! I need to practice.

[ He tilts his head. ] What about you?

I've been hanging out around this broken-down city for a while now - they call it Adstringendum. Not that bad a place, if you don't mind weird stuff happening every other week.

[He shrugs.] I usually don't!

And hey. Ven. If you want to practice, I've got a new trick or two to show off these days.

Yeah! They're my best friends. Are they okay?

[ Last he saw them... well. He's not so sure. Where he is, he's lucky that they both seem to be none the worse for wear. ]

They're fine. Aqua's got a handful of students -- she took over the local stadium a while back and teaches 'em there.

[He laughs.] Really weird. Turning into mermaids for the week, switching bodies, getting overrun by dinosaurs, personality changes, you name it. Home ... it's been a while, you know? I'm pretty used to this place.

Could be worse!

[He holds out a hand, fire blossoming around it and coalescing into one of his chakrams, and tosses Ventus a grin.] There you go.

They're lucky. She's a good teacher, like our Master is.

[ He makes a funny face. ] Oh wow! Some of that sounds interesting. Most 'interesting' thing that's happened where I am is the murder these nurse ladies tried passing off as an April Fool's joke.

Hey, I know. It's been awhile for me, too. But I still miss it.

[ Watch his eyes widen and that smirk turn into a grin of delight. ]

Yeah, she's not bad. I played chew toy for her students for a while... not that they couldn't all beat me in a fair fight to start with.

Story of my life! At least I've upgraded from those old disks I showed you last time, huh?

... I miss Radiant Garden myself sometimes. Never did get around to a real visit after they started rebuilding.
