Actually, I would prefer to be left alone considering the trouble you seek out for me when I have forced involvement in a story. Even if I am not content with being the narrator, there are worse roles to have.

Additionally, I am a modern liberated woman now, and I can do what I want. I have not forgotten that.

You know, I never got that either. The plot device thing. I mean, you're prettier than she ever was, and how are you the most beautiful woman in the world when the gods want nothing to do with you? Gods, if I were a girl, I'd be prettier than she is.

The whole thing is just stupid.

You will take notice of me not implying that you have been a girl in the past, because I am a respectful person. [Watch, however, as she ignores the compliment. She hasn't been good with those for a long time.] But it is stupid. I suspect the prettiest thing about her was her large tracts of land, and that was not a euphemism.

I mean a real girl, can we not talk about that? Whatever. You know, I wouldn't even really want Sparta, given its reputation. As far as I'm concerned, Menelaus got fucked over royally. Sparta's large, barren, and the only good thing about it, and I only say good since I know not everyone is me, is its soldiers. And then he's got this flighty wife he can't hold onto, and somehow in all that she ends up as the World's most beautiful?

If that's not someone trying to justify something, I don't know what is. Don't get me wrong, I didn't exactly mind the excuse for fighting--no offense--but it's only about her in as long as she could have stopped it and didn't. Otherwise, it's a bunch of clever men trying to boost morale.

Too clever by half, surely. Clever enough that he really had only himself to blame for his death. Sadly.

Better than blaming everyone else because you're not any good, I guess.

The modern world is a lot of fun.

I have very much enjoyed what I have seen of it.

I liked the 1970s quite a bit. I was in Europe for most of it. Zeus was extremely frustrated with me.

Oh my. I was still being dead then, I think.

That's a shame, really, it was a lovely decade.

I will have to take your no doubt far more experienced word for it. I confess, crowds do me no favors, so being out in the 'throngs of humanity' leave me ill at ease and unable to appreciate the finer joys of the situation.

It seems like the more we say "I'd prefer to be left alone", the more enthusiastic they become about the exact opposite.

If only reverse psychology worked.

I do tell him, loudly, and he hardly seems to listen! And should I refrain from mentioning then about what it implies in your relationship if you actually want that? Additionally, I can't imagine that your God cares much for you shaking up with a son of Achilles, I'm surprised he hasn't struck the boy down himself considering how petty he is.
