Looks like you've finally come full circle, Mun. Good for you.
Hey now, it's not like you have anything to be nervous about. Just give it your best effort, and don't get so hung up on all the details. There'll be plenty of time for that once you've gotten in some practice.
Let's see what you've got!

What about you? You headed anywhere?

I'm just in a couple small ones. [Small is an understatement for one. Itty bitty would be closer.]

In fact, some of my player's favorite moments have been in smaller games. She says they feel more like a community or a group of friends all having fun together. No one gets lost in the crowd.
no subject
At least one of them is home instead of some weird place. [Not that her home isn't weird.]
no subject
That's the nice thing about them, though. Makes it easy to keep up. And you're lucky. Not many of us can say we have a place to call home around here.
no subject
Mun likes being able to keep track of everything I guess... But Daear being home just means mom is around to make my new friends nervous. [The original version of her is in a couple games and she was given a slightly different AU just to fit in as a native to the setting of another.]
no subject
Makes sense. But at least you have your mother around to take care of you.
no subject
Mom does take care of me... Some people say she needs to let me take care of myself more though.
no subject
What do mean, "come full circle"? That makes me think your mun has tried everyone else's voices.
no subject
Still unaware, though.]Well, I'd be lying if I said I was the only one of our friends she's picked up. But what I meant was this is the first time we've met since she started the game, so it feels almost like a reunion.
no subject
Gotcha. But depending on what she has in mind, I'm not sure I would be too thrilled at this reunion. They have some creepy ass places out there made specifically to torment us.
no subject
[Well, you're in one piece! That's a start. Guy crosses his arms and leans back casually against whatever exists in the void that is Nexusland.]
Nothing like that, I hope. She doesn't strike me as the type.

[ Only you would consider visiting post-apocalyptic worlds or spaceships to be a vacation...
It's all for the fontech, isn't it.The sigh Luke gives is more put-on than not. Not even talk of crazy mundanes can dull the excitement of seeing Guy again. ]A point for her, then. You wouldn't believe how many of them think it's "fun" to put us in danger.
no subject
[The best kind of vacation.
Can't blame him. Normally examining fontech from other worlds would be impossible.Even if his mind would be more at ease with Luke along for the ride.]Yeah... But if they keep it up, they're only going to earn hatred from people like us.
no subject
[
True. Some of those places would be heaven for a machine geek like him.A vacation sounds rather nice to the redhead right now. Anything to mix of the sheer monotony of it all. ]Like that's ever stopped them before. They might not mean to be jerks, but they can get so wrapped up in the moment that they forget to think.
Edit.
[Strange. Why are you so nervous all of a sudden?] That's nothing new. I've had plenty of practice trying to convince you to eat your vegetables. I think I can handle it.
[
Yep!Great, let's go. We can even bring back souvenirs. For the mundanes and your family. Also, can't pretend such a description isn't the least bit familiar.]Someone just needs to open their eyes. So introduce us.

[ And the usual cheerfulness returns as quick as it left! Raising a replica from a newborn is no mean feat to scoff at, but these muns are wilier than a certain former instructor who shall remain nameless. ]
Trust me when I say bad idea. She'll want to shake your hand or worse, and there's that fifth wall thing we have to worry about breaking!
[ Ugh. No more souvenirs. The last one is still proving impossible to get rid of! ]
no subject
Because your dad is a royal douche.Leaving Luke alone with just his thoughts is never a good thing.] Luke...Yeah, I see where it could be a little problematic. [Hand. Woman. Shaking. Touching.] Guess you win.
But while I'm here, why don't you tell me what you've been up to? You know, when your player's feeling generous. I want to hear all about it.
[Not even a battery-powered handheld fan? Or a keychain flashlight? Or one of those wooden puzzles?]
no subject
Stick-up-the-ass syndrome must run in family. There's that dismissing wave of the hand Luke is fond of, this time to clear out the gloom. ] Augh, whatever! You're here now, so it's pointless to dwelling on it.I'm just glad I won't have to haul your butt off the ground from girl cooties. [ Joking~ Mostly. Both hands get clasped behind Luke's head with an uncertain laugh. Some details aren't the best for dropping out of nowhere without warning. ] Oh, you know. A little of this, a little of that... But it's been a while since I really got the chance to do more than chat. Doubt you want to hear about boring day-to-day crap.
[ Well okay, if it doesn't talk or bounce after you going "Maaaaster~" then it'll work. Maybe even a snow globe or postcard! ]
no subject
Oh, I don't know. Try me. It's not like I haven't listened to you talk about day-to-day life for the past seven years. It's got to be more interesting than me recounting the goings-on in Mun's headspace.
[Snow globes are good!]
no subject
Guess you've got a point there. I'll tell you what's new with me and then you can whine about your mun. Sound fair? [ Have a teasing grin. Luke is well aware that Guy would never whine, let alone make a genuine complaint. ] For starters, I'm twenty-three.
[ And still shorter, sob. ]
no subject
...Why do you have a lock of Luke's hair?
[Have you turned into a secret pervert Guy?]
One of my three icons... Hah hah ilu.
Oh, that. Well, Mun didn't have a lot of time to sort through icons last night. But you've probably guessed that if you and your player have already been looking at them.
[His nervous smile fades.] Have either of you seen the picture it was taken from before?
♥♥♥
No, we haven't. What does the rest look like?
no subject
I think this'll answer your question as well as I can, Anise. [And here you go.] Mun's got this idea in her head if she ever puts in a reserve at a game. Can't say I'm supportive, though.
I support this idea! Du eet♪
[God General Guy, that would be very intriguing to see...But would his one true weakness still be womenz?]
So would that mean you somehow turned evil?
[Don't make her hug you in punishment...]
You're a bad influence, young lady.
[Women
and fireplaces. Rather, women and bad memories and a desire for revenge.][He folds his arms, looking at a point in the distance.] Nah, nothing like that. I'd still be the same old Guy. But our journey would unfold differently. Just like the God-Generals and Van, no one's inherently evil. We've all got things we believe in and are willing to fight for, and sometimes that leads to conflict and bad decisions. [There's a wry note on that "bad decisions" part. He knows he said if things had happened differently, he might have been willing to join Van, but he didn't honestly think it'd ever happen like this.]
[C-come on! Anything but that!!]

That's reckless advice, coming from you.

You like to cover up your real feelings with a lot of idealism.
And logic in this case. That much fear really is wasteful on their part.
no subject
I wouldn't say that, either. It was my decision to stay with Luke and the others. I'm not about to let my past get in the way of the here and now, not when there are people who need me.
