9 years, huh. Looks like we've both come a long way since the last time.

Was deep diving into all of our past memories and homes worth the eyebags you're wearing today? [ yes... ] Happy for you, but you need to take better care of yourself.

Nine years is certainly a long time... and to think our adventures began twelve years ago for many of the muns here.

[Don't mind Lucina, she's just trying her best not tear up at the sight of one of her companions after so long.]

Y-Yeah, well, I've made sure to keep up with my appearance. Can't let these good looks go to waste.

I've often felt like you were the most feminine and beautiful member of our little group.

[She was always too busy trying to follow in her father's footsteps to pay much attention to beauty and fashion... but maybe she should try on that polka-dot dress?]

I've actually been relatively active the last few years, but more people know who I am thanks to my royal lineage. [And things like Super Smash, FE:H, or Engage] It's... it's been lonely without any of you by my side.

Well, isn't that a good thing? People love royalty. At least you weren't ever forgotten.

I... I would like that. I've seen some rather dark timelines since I first began... it would be nice to hear about some happier ones.

Even after all this time you're running around shouldering the heaviest burdens. And you always do it with us in mind. We couldn't ask for a better friend and princess.

Mun's happy to put us through something happier if yours is okay with that too. We've been around for too long to still be going through doomed timelines.

A part of her wants to hide her tears, because she still needs to be seen as strong but... she thinks she understands now why Severa is doing this. Everyone needs to take off the mask sometimes and let their heart speak.]

[She's just going to bury her face in the other girl's shoulder with a shuddering breath. Severa was cold and cynical to those around her as a defense, just like Lucina was a brave leader for her companions even in her darkest moments. When they were alone like this she could just be herself, rather than being anyone's daughter.]

Sometimes... I feel like you're one of my few friends who understands what it's like to try to live up to everyone's expectations.

[Or worse, their own expectations of themselves.]

I would love to do something happier, perhaps even just sharing a meal and talking about plans for our new futures.

[ it's her half-snark, half-genuine attempt at a joke to try and cheer lucina up. there is no one else in their little group of ragtag heroes that understands the heavy burden she and lucina have carried with them since birth.

so lucina's mask falls, and of course severa understands why it does. how she feels. knows that all lucina needs is a friend to see the girl under the mask. ]

Couldn't have suggested a better plan. I could steal two desserts for the both of us. Mother owes me one and I'm sure I can weasel one away from Cynthia or Owain.

Oh I remember, it's hard not to with how she idolized father.

[Lucina is a bit too pure for teasing sometimes. ~~And might be extra flustered because her plan to ask Severa on a date might be backfiring?~~]

I'm just reaping the benefits of our relationship. [ relationship?! ] Nothing beats having royalty as your best friend.

[ Lucina's attempt is not in vain! Severa's blushing, but she's smiling nonetheless. She gets it. She wants to tease her more, better take it easy on the poor girl's heart... this time! ]

[Sometimes she takes after her father a little too much. She's just blushing a bit and brushing back a lock of her hair.]

Don't worry about it, nothing's too good for a reunion with my cherished companion. You're worth splurging on once in a while.

[She's teasing just a little because that was such a classic Severa thing to say.]

[There's a slightly knowing smile on her face.]

I don't know what you mean. [ choosing to deny because why can everyone read her this easily. stop that ]

And even if was me, who do you think I learned all of that from? What's the saying... the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

[Hadn't she ever told Severa that story about how she was saved by Chrom of all people for pushing herself too hard? Or was the future version of herself too ashamed to share that story... well she's still a little ashamed to tell it, so she can just let that be future Cordelia's problem for now.]

[Cordelia is just sooooo happy that her super tsundere daughter is being so nice to her ~~for a change~~ again. She can't resist pulling her into another hug and rocking Severa back and forth in her arms.]

Oh Severa, you're absolutely the sweetest daughter I could have asked for! I don't know what I've done to deserve you, but rest assured I'll do anything I can to make you as happy as you've made me!

[ mother why must your hugs always CRUSH HER... Severa is flailing to try and create some space, but after 0.5sec she decides it's not worth it because actually. this is kind of nice.

maybe it's 2nd puberty or whatever getting her emotions all in a twist, but maybe hugs from mom aren't that bad. ]

If you're going to say you'll do anything, then you really have to mean it alright? I might not ask for just your dessert this time!

[It's probably because her breastplate is a bit... uh... bulky? Her vanity aside, Cordelia actually does let go of Severa with a genuine look of surprise on her face.]

What? Is there something you'd ask me to do that you've been too scared or embarrassed to ask for? I suppose that you are at an age where you might want to come to me for romantic advice...

[Not that Cordelia feels like she's exactly the paragon of romance when she pined for someone who barely noticed her for years...]

I am quite serious though, no matter how embarrassing it might be for either of us, I'll try to help you however I can Severa. It may sound silly, but I love you more than anything else in the world.
