Maybe its like platypus. Or moose. I don't think anyone thought we'd have to worry about a word for more than one Apocalypse.

[ Clearly whoever added Apocalypse to the dictionary had never met the House of Hargreeves. For the most part, Viktor also wished this.

He laughs a little and nods his agreement.] Yeah, I guess they never really were aiming for more than one, huh?

That will get easier. I mean at least it should. As for staying here? Wouldn't that be boring? I mean this place doesn't even have a decent beach, or booze.

[ Viktor listens, silently nodding about how no booze was probably going to be a problem. He was more of a forests and open prairies kind of guy. ]

I mean, you’re not wrong. I wonder how much of that is because I’m used to being alone. It’s nice having people around, I just don’t really know what to say to them.

[ He smiles politely, rubbing the back of his head, hoping to seem friendly and not at all like a human bomb. Maybe skipping that part for now was a good idea. ]

[He rubs the back of his neck somewhat sheepishly.] No I, I don't smoke. I had a cigar with my brother for his wedding but otherwise, I've managed to avoid the habit.

[ He takes her hand and shakes it with what he assumes is the expected firmness of formality. He is so under-socialized it's not even funny. He forgets to let it go. ]

Glad to meet you Taylor. And, to answer your question... It was forced. When my father realized there was something special and unique about me he had me locked away and drugged until nothing mattered and the world ended anyways.

[ He looks awkward for a second.] Sorry, I'm -- I guess I'm not used to the conversation continuing after that.

[She acts like it's good, though his grip is a little weak, or maybe she's just way too used to being around soldier types who strong arm EVERYTHING. She lets go first so he doesn't have to.]
