Well, hey. Just try for avoidance first. Get out into the wilderness, as far away from the others as you can. I've seen you, you can survive out there as long as you have to.

[She looks thoughtful now, seriously considering this as a possibility.]

Only if you're very sure it's a safe spot. You need to be ready to move on quick if they try to move you or the others get too close.

I wouldn't pick somewhere that wasn't safe. I'm not like my mun.

Safe can turn unsafe in the blink of an eye. You saw that in the games.

I know, Cinna. I don't know who I'll be able to trust once I'm there.

No, I wouldn't have wanted you with me in the games. This isn't any different.

Does it work the same way? Only one comes out?

Sometimes. The events make friends kill each other, and sometimes if you're not strong enough to survive being manipulated, you die.

[Cinna takes a second to consider all possible meanings of this. "Sometimes" suggests a person might get stuck in more than one event. Either that's not true, and people really die, or it is, and people die multiple times. Either way, it's awful, and he has no advice to give.]

[That really means a lot, coming from him. She manages a small smile.]
