On the 13th Anniversary of RE5 nearing.

You see what they keep doing to me -- and everyone else, for that matter. Sometimes being left behind is better. It's been thirteen years since I've been around... and nine retroactively since I've been seen. It's better not to get your hopes up. I know people call me a bit of a pessimist but if you look at it realistically or without too much optimism, you at least have the chance of being pleasantly surprised.

[ She pauses, trying not to be so dramatic about it all, but it does concern her enough that she feels it warrants discussion or at least to be addressed. With a hand to her neck and fingers curled, tips grazing her nape when she huffs out a sigh. ]

We know at least I was doing alright after everything, though. That's the most important part.

[ Breaking news: he's a geek. But he's the coolest one she knows, anyway. If anything, Jill's the meathead of the two of the them, with little patience for technology or any kind of hacking where he at least is able to deal with it with a more level-head. Small favors, she supposes. ]

Ha, how morbid. [ Her eyes flicker away, briefly. ] I can't promise I wouldn't do it again if I had the opportunity. The world can get by without me, but I couldn't stand to think of a world without you in it.

[ He hasn't felt like the geek in a while Jill, They're both a far cry from Raccoon city and him reading conspiracy theory news letters for fun. She's still better at hacking a lock than he'll ever be. ]

Oh, I'm pretty sure they'll manage. Would be nice to retire at some point though. I'm getting too old to be chasing monsters.

[ She'll kick any electronic lock's ass, but actual hacking into mainframes and all that? Definitely not her forte. Maybe she should try to change that, though. ]

I'll never be too old to do it, that's the problem. Something has to give, though.
