Spoilers possible for Critical Role
[An amused tefling is shuffling tarot cards with one hand as he smiles]
Oh my sweet Mun you do feel drawn to tragic stories don't you? Not that I mind...I was assuming you'd lean more toward Caleb then me? But then again you love the charming ones too. Maybe this could be interesting after all. who knows?

I'm cool if any spoilers slip out.
Is this Caleb person more tragic then you?
Re: I'm cool if any spoilers slip out.
[Molly smiles at the little one.]
He has suffered, yes...but it's made him so much stronger.
no subject
People tell me that I have suffered because of being in a Goblin tribe but I don't think they were too different from any other tribe.
Does that mean people think I am strong?
no subject
Was your tribe treated differently because of who they were?
I was....most of my friends were...that is one form of suffering.
no subject
I suppose they did tend to avoid me because of my abilities. My tribe did not trust the Booyahg.
[She's used to having to explain what Booyahg is so she looks around for a moment producing a dandelion. With a deep breath she blows on it and using some druid craft causes the floating seeds to pop into puffs of more dandelion heads that float through the air towards Molly.]
no subject
[Molly looks delighted and reaches out to grab one of the seeds.]
What lovely magic you have......much more interesting than mine. Less dangerous too it seems.
But yes...being treated as lesser than is a small form of suffering.
Caleb suffered a bit more than that.
no subject
Then it makes sense he would be stronger if he suffered more. He's very lucky!
What kind of things does your magic do?
no subject
[Molly chuckles a little and there is a sadness to it.]
My magic comes from my blood...it's not as lovely as yours little goblin.
no subject
But if that pain makes you stronger that's good too right?
[She's studying him very carefully still glowing faintly. Rolling for perception and all that.]
I like your horns. Kind of like a crown.
no subject
It all depends on the cost.
[Molly is going to come across young to any perception...almost like he has had his mind reset more than once and had to relearn the world.]
Thank you....They are my best feature...at least I think they are.
no subject
[She squints a little studying him.]
Do you play lots of card games?
[Points at the tarot deck]
no subject
On the outside...and do you see the inside as well little goblin?
[Molly grins and flicks a card out of the deck with ease.]
You can play games with these....but they can also tell the future.
no subject
[She gasps and her eyes go wide.]
Can they really? I sometimes can see the future in the stars, but never here in my hands.
[She waggles her pudgy little goblin fingers.]
no subject
Sometimes they can reveal the future...but sometimes it's just a game.
[Molly can't always control when the readings feel more real, but he knows when it's about to happen. Like the Moonweaver herself is tapping him on the head]
It all depends on the mood.
no subject
[She produces a glittering white rock. It looks worn and not quiet spherical, almost like a dodecahedron but a longer shape.]
This is a piece of the moon I think. It fell out of the sky into my mountain and I can sometimes use it to see the future. But it might just be more booyag.
no subject
[Molly lights up when he sees it.]
It seems the Moonweaver has blessed you then little goblin. It is not often she gives a peace of herself to the world.
no subject
My tribe doesn't understand Booyag. But I think if this is a gift from Miss Moonweaver then I couldn't possibly turn it down.
I just wish I could give her something in return.
no subject
The moon asks for nothing in return...but our worship.
She expects us to enjoy her beauty and speak of her kindly.
no subject
[She considers for a moment.]
Last night she looked lovely, very sharp and smooth. It looks like she is smiling.
no subject
Those are my favorite nights.
I like to think she smiles on those she favors because we have pleased her so well.
no subject
There's a place in my Tribe's mountain where the water pools. They use it to drink and fish but on a good night when everything is quiet?
[She looks around like it's a secret and rises up on her tip toes to whisper at him.]
The Moon's sister comes to visit. Right there in the water!
no subject
[Molly smiles delighted by the secret and unwilling to explain the reason behind reflections and ruin the magic]
That is wonderful. She likes to bathe in the pool I am sure.
Do you visit with her?
no subject
But when I do talk with her I tell her about my day, stories my brother has told me. But often we just sit and enjoy each other.
Someday I think I'd like to visit her in her home.
no subject
Not everyone should be like the people they know.
I...I'm not the person I was before.
Perhaps she will bless you in that way.
no subject
[She squints at him a little trying to suss out what the opposite of him might be.]
Did you not like who you were before?
no subject
I don't remember much of who I used to be....but others knew that me and....I didn't like what they told me.
no subject
I like the you that I've met. So hopefully they'll like you as well.
And hopefully you like the you I've met?
no subject
[Molly grins and does a little spin so that his multicolored coat spins]
Little goblin I adore this me...I feel like this is the me I've always been meant to be.
no subject
Destiny can be a beautiful colorful thing!
no subject
And I do like colors...in fact do you have a favorite color?
no subject
I love them all for different things but I do love purple.
no subject
[Molly grins.]
I have always enjoyed purple myself...given purple teflings like me are rare.
no subject
[Ah that's why she chose it.]
And your pictures are the pictures the stars make when the clouds are clear.
no subject
Yes that's right....aren't you smart...Nott would like you.
She's a goblin too...at least she was when I knew her.
My mun says she's changed.
no subject
[This seems to excite her given the nature of their conversation so far.]
A change for the better maybe? Like us?
no subject
My friends have changed a lot since I last saw them yes.
Yes...she became who she was before we knew her...a halfing.
no subject
A goblin becoming a halfling?
[She considers for a moment.]
Did she get tired of green?
no subject
It's complicated according to my mun...but apparently my friend was cursed.
It's a sad story.
no subject
For a beautiful Goblin maid to be cursed with such soft round cheeks, flat square teeth. Halflings don't even see well at night.
no subject
For her yes...she spent so much time away from her family because of it.
No they do not..but I don't think she missed dark vision once she lost it.
I know I would.
no subject
[She thinks of her brother and sympathizes with this poor Goblin who was cursed to be a halfling.]
There are too many nice things to see in the dark, like bugs and rodents and people sleeping. But I guess some people make do.
