Mundane.
Writes out all my thoughts.
Also writes out my actions.
Name fits, very bland.

You know Iām not often one for poetry,
But that was very poignant I think.
Well done.

Evoking the hopelessness of my situation was the point. It helps that my mundane couldnāt think of a word that rhymes with the word āmundaneā that didnāt sound forced, so I had to settle for haiku.

The best artists are the ones who can improvise when they lack the tools they need to express themselves.
Or in your case, when you lack the mundane you need.
I'm sure you'll find ways around that to have the fun you need.

I typically do. You donāt remain sane in my family for long if you canāt. If Iām to accept my fate as a little more than something akin to one of my sister Lolaās dolls in a pretend game minus the layers of makeup, itās a talent I think Iāll appreciate having picked up.

[ Excuse her while she invades your personal space and starts checking if you have a pulse. ]
Well, we're not dead. So this isn't the afterlife. [ It may be hard to tell if she finds this reassuring or disappointing. ]

Yeah, itās actually been a while since Iāve been around. My mun hasnāt had access to their computer for a while; long, dull story about their having to use their desk for work at home stuff now. So they canāt make a lot of icons or stuff on their tablet, but I really wanted to see you, so they let me out again. Has it been really rough for you?

Itās better now. [ She canāt remember a single instance in which sheās ever been truly separated from her family. Sneaking into the darkest, most isolated corners of their house, sure, but itās not like she stays there for long. But actually being apart from them? Indefinitely? Itās a jarring prospect for her. Seeing Lincoln here is a huge relief. ] Have you seen any of the others anywhere?

[Tries to put positive spin on it.]
But that just makes us trailblazers, right?
no subject
[ And nobody replied to her. Poor thing. ]

Maybe there have been other places muns have taken us. I was in the fortanon place once.
[And no one replied to him.]
I hear there are some scary games that are best avoided, though. And I donāt mean good scary, like your tv show. Bad scary, and way too old for you.
[and him, Mr. Eleven Year Old.]

And how could it, they've had three different April Fools Days and somehow nobody has aged a day. Yet.]I was there, too. And this place called 'Bakerstreet.' Some kind of weird texting thing that Leni or Lori would do. Normally, I would never see the appeal. Except for the Morticians' Club, none of my friends have phones. Or corporeal bodies.
[ She almost resents that. Almost. She would, if she didn't know what he's talking about. ]
I don't do slasher movies. The blood spatter is almost always portrayed unrealistically. Really, Lincoln, I don't know what you were thinking. I didn't even want to go see The Harvester.

It was a terrible idea (and a terrible movie) in the end, but it did teach me a couple of things. Usually, Mom and Dad really do know best, and the other important lesson is that our house has WAY too many dark, creepy spaces where a stupid kid who went to see a forbidden movie can quickly regret it.
Although, I guess for a different, smarter kid like yourself, those places are great. XD

I'll try to keep that in mind about the 'scary places,' though. Even if you and I have very different definitions of what qualifies as 'scary,' I know you're just trying to look out for me. [ If there's one thing she doesn't doubt about Lincoln, it's how protective he is of her in particular. He let his entire family think he's a brony for her sake. That is god-tier bro material. ]

I guess my powers are a little limited when it comes to the muns, though. I canāt really stop them from doing anything. However, I CAN deliver a strongly-worded protest and shake my first in as much righteous indignation as I can muster! [waves fist in the air like heās signaling passing planes. He means well.]

A comfy couch would be good. And a tv. And bathrooms.
Lots of bathrooms.

And what if it means you have to permanently give up having your own room?
no subject
Not gonna lie, thatās a tough one. I guess it would depend on where I DO end up. My mun isnāt likely to put me in any kind of permanent residence, anyway. Theyāre too demanding, I guess.
But hey, even the stop and go places like here can be fun! Might even give the fortanon place another try sometime.
no subject
I wonder if fortanon has sharks.
no subject
Hey, speaking of sharks, I heard Shark Fest is on the Nat Geo channel this week! If I run interference with the others, you might be able to nab the tv for a while and catch some of it.
no subject
[ Run interference? For her? Coming from the guy who has to come up with elaborate plots just to watch AARGH!, thatās saying a lot. ]
Iād appreciate that. Though Iād enjoy it more if youād watch it with me. Again.
no subject
And youāre right about Lynn. Sheās not the easiest roommate in the world to live with.
no subject
My point is that I'm not afraid of a few dares. [ And indeed, she's not. ] We've both probably had to deal with worse, anyway.
no subject
Iām not afraid to do it, Iām afraid there wonāt be time to respond if anyone replies. Still, I canāt let my little sister brave it all by herself, and the weekend is coming ....
Okay, Iām in. Letās see if I have any better luck this time than the last!
