Mun started watching an old classic...
Your choice of username is interesting. Either you're asking me to fill far too big shoes, or you're hinting at something scandalous. I would prefer the former over the later even if that may be more true. [Bright smile.]
Now, when they told us to go boldly where nobody else has gone... I'm not sure they meant this. For starters, I can't see any star-ship around these parts. Not much of a Starfleet officer without a ship am I? Still I'm looking forward to see what you're intending to do.
Plot a course and engage the engines, dear Mun! No stopping here.

Of course that would just be speculation on my part.
[In other words you both sleep around, thinks the Mun.]

I'm interested in all forms of life, Commander. I'm not entirely sure what you mean to imply, though I know I have an unearned reputation in some quarters. I'm not sure where it came from.
And I'm not quite an admiral, so no need to be formal.

And on that note--there's nothing to live up to. We all face unique challenges, native to our own time and context. There's no need to attempt to replicate the past.
no subject
That's true. We have came quite far since your days. But there are still challenges to face.

As for the romantic pursuits, they're only a fraction of what people think they are. Not that it's a horrible reputation to have, but I do often wonder where the joke about green girls comes from...

Probably around the time your ship got taken over by Orions.
lol I do not remember that
Which one? The time-displaced Kirk was in a movie, while the Orion was an episode of TOS I think?
It's alright! We have all been in a situation where we temporary lose control of the ship. On of our crew invented a new artificial life form that ended up living in the main computer core. Their presence caused a lot of issues until we managed to get them out of there and give them their own planet.
oh the ship being taken by orions...
Oh yeah. I've given people planets before.
Then I'm probably wrong. I vaguely remember some Orisons using their phernomes or something.

[Of course, Worf. But hey, at least yours is honourable, right?]
It is good to see you here, Commander. There is a lack of decency around this place and most are dishonourable indeed.

It's good to see you aswell Lieutenant. I hear that you've been quite busy since we served aboard the Enterprise together. Very impressive.

[He's never going to understand human men, or women for that matter. Just humans in general. Klingons are much more easier to understand. Obviously.]
Thank you, sir. I have been stationed aboard Deep Space Nine for over two years now.
[He's seen a lot and been through a hell of a lot regarding politics, war and family issues. There was always family honour to think about before anything else, even his duties as a Starfleet officer.]
Are you still serving aboard the Enterprise under Captain Picard?
no subject
[He nods.] So I have heard. Do you enjoy it?
As far as I'm aware, yes. However I'm told that I'm taken from an earlier point in time. Supposedly I'm going to command my own ship in the future.

[He's totally joking, Will. Seriously. Maybe. Not.]
Enjoy isn't perhaps the word I'd use to discuss my duties but I am finding it a useful experience in my career. There are parts of it that can be....difficult at times, such as the lack of space and the annoying Ferengi bar keeper. Aside from that I am "enjoying" it.
[Klingons didn't really "enjoy" themselves in the sense that humans did.]
I have met a mate though. Lieutenant Commander Jadzia Dax. She is my Par'Mach'Kai.

Working at a space station instead of a ship certainly is a different experience. Perhaps a better place to raise family at than a ship.
[He says with a meaningful glance.]
I'm happy to hear that things are going well for you Worf.

[Of course he's going to act the innocent party in this conversation of course. This man, whoever he might be, is obviously some sort of Starfleet officer since the uniforms were closely matched to Kirk's own variant.]

[He smirked. Please, Number One, stop. This guy loves having his ego stroked. As if it isn't big enough.]
It's nice to meet a fellow officer, Commander. You say you're serving aboard the Enterprise...D? I wasn't under the impression that she had any other names.
[Kirk wondered what Scotty would be thinking right now.]
I haven't met a Captain Picard. Perhaps, our timelines differ somewhat. Tell me, what is the star date from where you originate?
no subject
I'm from the year 2367.
