Er...no. I've met some of them, but to say I've met the rest of the fleet would be incorrect. That's the extent of my knowledge as to how many there are.

You're the first one I've met from France, however.

I suppose that depends on how you look at it. At home, I'd never encounter people like you. For that reason, you could say that every one of you I meet is special.

[A look of curiosity forms on Athrun's face. He hasn't had much experience getting to know Hood -- he knows of her, sure, but he has never actually met her -- so he can't say he really gets it.]

Being frank? That Hood is a hopeless romantic. I don't have direct experience with it, but she's particularly forward to those that she likes, and that kind of sweet talk would have been the nudge she needed.

[A mirthless laugh. Jean Bart didn't exactly hold high opinions of that kind of cheeky behavior, much less when two other battleships from the Royal Navy were also notorious for their belt-chasing.]

You're not being serious, are you? I've heard rumblings of you naming Enterprise as your secretary being an excuse to get hitched. I'd say I'm surprised you haven't been swamped by them. [While she doesn't play in what she saw as the kids' romantic pool, so to speak, even she had to recognize there was something about him that seemed to get him into a bad shore leave's worth of trouble with girls.]

Eugen’s claimed responsibility for it, but there’s a small part of me that’s tempted to not believe her this time.

I don’t have many good guesses as to who, though. [Maybe it was Saratoga playing some kind of long game prank? No, on second thought, that didn’t seem like it was something up her sleeve...]

[Athrun certainly can't come up with a motive for Prinz Eugen to start it. Sure, she's a tease, but she's not that bad.]
