Maybe we could go on a really nice walk now that you're doing this pretendy funtime thing a lot more often! We might even get lots and lots of candy if we asked around! Besides-- [Just as suddenly, a tonal shift creeps in as she starts going from excitable to curious.] --I always wanted to see the world of today... the world I missed out on after so long. It's refreshing to finally be out and not cooped up in some kind of cage. Just don't push yourself too hard, though, alright? I wouldn't want you to end up like... [...] ...ah. I feel like I'm forgetting something...

Well, never mind.

By the way, maybe you're being a little too clever by half? A name like this is a bit too hard on the pun scale. Mohs never designed his scales to be used like that.

[Ah. Well, this is awkward! Considering what she remembers of Elphelt doesn't quite match up with what she's seeing in front of her, a bit of Jack-O' is compelled to play it safe...

Well, not that it would be that hard to when the child in her kicks back in.]

Anyways, I guess it's nice to finally meet you!

Aw... well, if you say so? [At least Jack-O's chipper about it.]

Either way, it's nice to meet you too! [She produces a lollipop and holds it out.] Candy for your thoughts? You look like you've been waiting a while for this!

Um, thank you... [ Elphelt gingerly took the offered candy, but made no move to unwrap it. ]

Actually, now that I'm here before you, I... find myself not really able to think of anything to say. We're both Valentines, but it feels like there's a whole world between us...

Eh!? And you'd come all this way to greet me, too...! [Flailing her arms about with all the vim and vigor of someone ten years younger, her antics eventually simmer down--]

[--and eventually give way to the technical elder of the two underneath.]

I guess, though, sometimes these things can't be helped. It's okay to feel that way, though; if we were just that similar, the differences between us wouldn't stand out so much, now, would they? [She toys around with the idea of pulling off her mask for a bit, but eventually sets the thought aside. She's having trouble stay on track as is by letting little things bug her.]

If anything, I think that kind of sensitivity sets you apart. It shows that you've grown in your own way, that you're learning more. Being your own person has never been inherently a bad thing, now, has it?

I'm still getting used to it, really. But I've found some really great people to find myself around, so... I think it will all work out.

I guess part of me just wishes that you could be a part of that. But things don't always work out that way, I guess... I still feel a connection to you, all the same.

[Ah. These girls grow so fast. As tangled as the Badguy family tree is nowadays, she can't help but be happy that they're in good hands. The rather expressive mask shifts accordingly, as her ball and chain bounces with her more chipper step.]

Maybe in time, we'll be able to meet like this again -- you could introduce me to these new friends of yours, too! We'll see what the future brings next for us both. Though come what may, I'm sure-- [Ah, there goes her mature tone a bit; come on, focus. You can still keep it together--] --it'll be fun for everyone! [And there's the child again.

[She stops for a moment to think.] I feel like I should... it was Fre... Fred... [And then she immediately finds herself inwardly grousing as she keeps chipping at those fragmented memories, trying to make out the name, having it right on the tip of her tongue, but only having it slip away into the abyss.

Needless to say, she looks like she's got another mixture of confusion and frustration right about now.] ...aaah, I can't remember! And I still can't remember what I was gonna tell him that time, either! This sucks!
