You are so vanilla… and I mean that in the most insulting way possible. Don’t get me wrong. You’re a strong writer. Plot driven. You’ve got the goods. But you are way too concerned with propriety. I’m not saying I want to get into some crazy shit. Even I have my limits. You’ve written me as a nice guy. Even nice guys step out of character sometimes. For example, my original incarnation died. I get that. It totally had to happen. So, you brought me back to life, gave me a new name, and a new face with all my memories. Cool. Then I nearly died again, and you made me a vampire. Yes, I saw that coming. You made no bones about that. I was excited to take a ride down that path. Here I was thinking, “Yes! Now I get to cut loose.” Except, you’re vanilla.
Everyone likes vanilla. It’s sweet and satisfying. I wish there could be more. Hell, your writing partner puts me in more interesting scenarios than you do. Baby, my mind is still blown. Your last bit was a good start. But if you wanted a sensitive vampire you could have written for Angel or Stefan. Please step out of your comfort zone. I know you have it in you.
