Typically, I would have said that buying more icons for me was a fool's gesture.
I hardly believe you'll have much opportunity to use them. And it would be wise to take more care with your finances, mundane. I have enough on my plate to focus on, so don't expect me to play the role of voice of reason in your head.

However, I do understand how significant appearance is.
If you're going to waste your money anyway, I suppose spending it for my benefit is nothing I should complain about.

Maybe your mun didn't buy them for appearance reasons, but because they weren't sure how to show that they wanted to learn more about you. Maybe this was a starting place.
