You've only just begun re-reading the series, after all. And it has been several years since you've written for me. While nostalgia is understandable, it would be wise to be prudent as well, would it not?

Well here's a familiar face, with a familiar lackadaisical attitude to match~

The very worst? Just some minor discomforts, I suppose.

You can't let the little things get you down, Hakkai. They can get some stuff wrong, sure, but if you stress about it too much you're gonna go bald like some asshole I could mention. You might as well just kick back and enjoy yourself!

You do have a point, though. Stressing does little good now. The er, "mun" has already bought more icons..

I hope he punishes you without mercy when you act up. [ A bright smile ~♥ He knows "good boy" and "Sha Gojyo" are terms that don't belong together in any universe. ]

[ A day or so ago, Gojyo would have taken that bait and made an appropriately dirty joke. Today, however, he's in the middle of doing something immensely stupid that will undoubtedly blow up in his face... and maybe make life harder for Hakkai and Goku, too. To his credit, he does a halfway decent job of concealing his discomfort, but his poker face has always been terrible, especially around people who know him well. ]

Oh, I'm sure he will.

[ But enough of that! ]

How about you? Any idea where you're goin' after this?

I RPed as Hakkai about a decade ago. I still love him and Saiyuki in general.

[ Hakuryuu lifts his neck closer to Kurt, inquisitively. He won't shy away from a head pat if one should come his way. ]

Me too! I'm so sad it seems like it'll never finish. And I will never forgive Tokyopop.

Hakuryuu? [Kurt tests out the name in his mouth and only mildly mangles it with his German accent.] Hello, little friend... [Reaching out, he gently pets the dragon's head... And if little emoji hearts could actually float off of a person, Kurt would be emitting them right now in waves.] He is amazing! How did you come to be friends with him, if I may ask?

[ ooc: Continuing my rambling here: Admittedly I've been out of the loop for awhile for Saiyuki updates.. Is the manga-ka still on hiatus for health reasons? ]


Both of us have been sitting in the dust for so long, he's quite pleased to make a new friend. [ Hakkai holds up his arm so the little dragon can slither his way down it, in search of more petting. Hakuryuu gives a happy chirping sound, nuzzling Kurt's hand. ]

Ah, you could say we've come across one another in more than one lifetime. [ He smiles. ] But I found him alone and took him in to care for him. He's become my right-hand man!

Because I'm sure thinly veiled threats will surely inspire that mun of yours further. At least let them get a feel for playing you out before you scare them away.

Does that mean you haven't drawn your gun on yours yet? [ He's picturing Sanzo's more direct methods of threatening, here. ]

I just didn't veil anything. They knew what they were getting themselves into the moment they started this. If they couldn't handle it they would have been done with me the moment they started.

[Or maybe he just hasn't shot enough of his game-mates yet.]

My mun, on the other hand, has no idea what to expect from me. Perhaps I should play a bit more nicely for them. [ He chuckles. ]

And how are things going for you? Up to less trouble than Gojyo up there, I hope.

[Look, he may cause trouble sometimes. But unlike Gojyo, it's not like he actively seeks it out.]

As much as could be at least considering where I was placed. Stuck in a doomed world about to be destroyed by a dragon bigger than that asshole kappa's ego, in a city that's freezing fucking cold.

So... More of the same I guess.

[ Hakkai's eyes widen at that, brows lifting in instant concern. He's accepted the fact different... versions of them are running around that he can't really do anything to help towards, but that doesn't stop him from slipping into Cho Protective Mode. ]

That sounds.. dangerous, to say the absolute least. Are you.. all right? You're not handling it all on your own, are you?

[ He might have asked the same thing to the aforementioned Gojyo. Why are all of his friends in such challenging worlds! ]
