One muse envies another
So you're letting that purple-eyed slacker who ought to have Type II diabetes by now wander into some other world, and yet, after months of trying 'place' me, and several false starts, and sufficient whinging about how hard I am to 'place', you're keeping me shelved? All that grumbling for nothing, and to the loafer goes the spoils? You disgust me with your fickleness. If you finally get the ambition to 'place' me, don't expect me to be responsive. I've been manipulated enough in my time.
You don't own me. Remember that.

/mutual flailing ensues

I can't help feeling somehow Evil Dead takes place in the same 'verse as The Frighteners...
I apologizing for snapping like that: paranoia comes a liability in my profession, and it gets worse when I'm angered.
And I left the country dreams because I woke up, or I was forced awake. I'm not certain how it worked, other than it was like a typical dream, particularly a pleasant one you were enjoying.

So I take it you couldn't just fall back asleep. ... .My little lady's already got designs on dropping me on some floating island... But they got handyman job type stuff, and no demons, so I figure it might not be so bad.
