on the topic of a new muse and rping again after years
Don't worry too much, you'll readjust. [words of reassurance come easily, after all, he's been the first point of contact for many people coming back from the dead.]
If you think you can handle it, I'm ready! There's work to be done, right?

Someone called and I answered, that’s all.

And don't think I forgot that lie you told about Kaori that Shiki me killed her father over! What was THAT about?
no subject
The Shiki you had fun doing it though! You’d be lying to me if you said she didn’t.
no subject
Whatever. Just...don't think I'll be so easily persuaded again.
no subject
Sure, sure. Next time you won't completely lose your mind over the mere mention of that boy, right? You'll be good?
no subject
Um....I....
I won't turn on Kaori, I can at least say that much!
[If anything Megumi saw in her canon timeline of dying and becoming a Shiki stands as the biggest regret, it would be that.]

Is that a challenge?

[But with that said, everything else was still on the table, without limits. Megumi actually returns a smile toward Tatsumi and nods.]

...but somehow I get the feeling you're the type who gets into all kinds of mischief. Call it a hunch.

The key point, though, is how I get myself into that mischief. I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase, “it comes with the territory,” right?
no subject
But certainly, I can understand that. And I'm sure you are completely innocent in the matter when such circumstances arise.
[Sarcastic sorceress is sarcastic.]

If I do something, it’s not without benefit to my employers.

And what about you? Does your purpose lead to mischief?
no subject
Indeed, my purpose leads me to all manner of mischief and....dark amusement.

Taking orders, isn't that bad of a life, I'm sure you'd agree? If it leads to excitement.
no subject
Your kind, you say? You have me curious now.
And that implies that one cannot find amusement on their own. My purpose brings quite a bit of excitement, if not always in the best of ways.

[Should he be concerned about revealing this information? Maybe. Then again, this is a meta world, and honestly... it's kind of interesting to share with this new acquaintance.]
I suppose it depends on what your work entails. When it comes to things like spying and grave-robbing, I think it's not that bad. My work isn't very conventional, to most.

[Turnabout is fair play, she's just as secretive with her own identity given any other occasion. But monsters tend to have some common ground uniting them.]
Spying I can enjoy, but I can't say as I've ever been much of a grave robber. It was considered a grave sin during my time - but I'm sure such things are trivial to you, no? So what precisely do you do? Or is it simply whatever your employer commands, you jump and obey...like a good doggy? [She smiles at that last bit.]
no subject
[He returns her grin, giving a small shrug. From any perspective, she definitely wasn't wrong.]
You could say that. After all, a dog that bites back is a sign of poor training and disrespect, isn't it?
no subject
[She's narrowing it down - there's only one possible explanation really.]
Perhaps. Or perhaps it is a sign of strength and fearlessness. Arguments can be made for both.
