I will make a bet with you, Writer. It is my belief that Magic exists in some form or another in every world. We can either be connected by it or driven apart by it, yet it cannot be ignored.

(This is a subject on which he is passionate.)

Muggles and No-Maj need not be hidden from it as if they cannot possibly understand it! Wizard, Witch or otherwise, we are all humans and we must find a way to share otherwise there will always be fear and persecution.

While I agree we shouldn't hide away you're wrong in thinking it won't cause fraction. Humans reacts to the unknown by destroying it. So we have no other option than fighting back.

Knowledge is a fine shield against ignorance, fear and hate. Humans are not born with a blindfold over their eyes.

There has been enough fighting.

We have fought for a thousand year and we can fight for a thousand more. Time does not matter.

What has been accomplished in a thousand years? There has been little progression.

Just thousands killed by said humans. Why would it be different a second time? We fight enough among ourselves as it is.

They killed 95% of my kind, they don't deserve second chances. [Eyes sparks unnaturally blue as his fangs elongates.] Only death. But I'm reasonable. I'd rather push back against them than outright kill them all.

(Albus does not step back, but a wand is produced and held stiffly at his side.)

Will their deaths bring back your fellows? I think not. An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind.

Yes I'm an vampire. An vampire Elder even, something I inherited from my mother. I've had my fair bit of trouble even though I was born after the Purges. [As he calms down his canines retract and his eyes stops glowing. He cautiously watches the wand in the man's hand. Normally he might have laughed at someone thinking a stick of wood would help against him. But he had a feeling this man was more than just some mortal enthusiast.]

Their deaths may not bring anyone back, other than possibly strengthening our leads, but that's the only language they understand. We hadn't done anything against them before they attacked us and ruined us.

(His senses are good as the wand Albus holds is the infamous Elder Wand. Albus, by himself, is a remarkable Wizard with more than enough power to do as he pleases; with the wand, he is very hard to take down.)

Purges? (He reminds himself that they might come from different worlds.) Your world may not be mine, but I know of Vampires, at least.

(They tend to keep to themselves because of persecution. The same for Werewolves.)

They attacked because they do not understand you. They attacked because they did not want to risk their lives on the possibility that you might want peace. Yours is a precarious position as you need blood and if you develop a taste for human blood, it must be difficult to curb your cravings.

It's against our laws to feed off humans. We feed on cattle or blood donations if we get our hands on any. Any "blood addiction" isn't an issue. Fear and ignorance is. It wasn't always like this. Once upon a time we were respected and feared.

The Purges was when human controlled governments sent death squads after us. Only because they found out about us.

Do you seek to be respected more than feared? (Albus measures him; while he understands the fear, anger and perhaps even hatred, he knows it will always be a cycle. Someone must break the cycle or more will suffer and die - thus increasing the hatred.)

They were wrong in hunting you so.

We should be allowed to exist along humans without having to hide and forfeit our traditions.
