It's all right that things didn't work out for me. It's all right that I was spurned for the things I did, though I wish it hadn't taken it's toll on you, too. There's been so much pain and it would be best for everyone to move on from it.

[ A huff of a laugh and a wry smile follow. ] I know you hate leaving things half-finished, that loose ends bother you, and that things coming to a close in a way that feels half-hearted or forced hurt you. But despite how much I wish I could change some things, I am all right with what's happened. Wherever I go from here, even if it's just to a metaphorical shelf in your mind for now, it'll be fine. You and I aren't over, not by a long shot.

We'll figure this out. I'll find a way to live on and we'll both be strong again.
