Almost one year ago we were here, only you were avoiding homework and I was nagging you for that.
At least now you're not neglecting anything.
[Yet the events still make David roll his eyes. After all, mun is rping now from her office, in the middle of a very boring day at work.]

[This guy is about to make your life hell again. Sorry, buddy.]
LEKQUEEED!!
Nice to see you made it nice and dry out of hell, Liquid. Guess it was too hot for you to handle.
Re: BROOOTTTHHERRRR!
[He's an asshole. Ignore him.]

Hmmh then you should've stayed there, for everyone's sake. Even for your mun. You're gonna end up driving that man crazy in the long run.

[Someone's in a bad mood. Make that everyday.]
no subject
[But it's not his fault you're in a bad mood. You make his mood go bad too as well and don't see him complaining around.]

[Guess what? He loved swatting flies.]
no subject
I didn't poke my nose into your life by choice, but might as well do it again to stop you.
[Well good for you, Liquid! This fly is hard to get so good luck swatting it.]

[So there.]
What you say to me means nothing anyway. You're a government pawn being used by your precious Colonel Campbell. [The blond snarled the last words, took two steps forward and slapped Snake straight in the face with his right hand.]

You didn't earn your comrades's loyalty with ideals but with fear and empty promises. You lied to them, used them, put them in the line for you for nothing, even knowing they would blindly follow you, even die for you. You kept your troops under control only thanks to Mantis, and terrorized every other person under your command so they would remain faithful to you.
You say Campbell manipulated and used me, but you're no better than––
[And that's when it hits him. Liquid's hand across his face, in what seems… a slap. Had he just slapped him across his face? As he holds his redden cheek, he stares at the blond, startless.]
… Meryl's got a heavier hand than yours.

Shut up! I don't care about your pathetic girlfriend!
[The blond growled and launched himself at Snake, aiming to slam his right fist viciously into his brother's stomach, whilst using his other arm to headlock the soldier.]
no subject
[He can't really predict the fist landing into the pit of his stomach, punching hard enough to leave him breathless. Although the headlock, albeit uncomfortable, does give David the perfect opening to deliver a clear strike with his elbow into his brother's stomach as well.]
… Got…enough yet?
no subject
[Liquid rasped out feeling a dull ache throb through his stomach region. Damn that elbow to his solar plexus. It bloody hurt! Liquid snarled and grabbed hold of the end of Snake's bandanna and pulled. Dirty fighting? Hell yes.]
Always thought you were better than me, didn't you?
[The blond yanked back the bandanna and aimed for a headbutt against his brother's forehead.]

[as if he had never, ever responded to forum RP posts while working on REX. despite the fact that he shouldn't have had clearance to use the open internet at all. #hacking]

[And of course you won't since it's my work tool! And mun has the feel Otacon might understand her position since computers, please.]
no subject
I swear, you're the only person who could manage to get by without a computer these days...
no subject
And why would I need a computer now, Otacon? Machines have only put us in danger.
[That includes Metal Gear, of course.]
no subject
I'm not saying you'd need one-- you're the last person who would. Still, it wouldn't kill you to use them a little more. They don't bite.
no subject
Computers aren't my thing. Been living my life alright apart from them up until now and planning on doing so. Besides, what am I supposed to do with one anyway? Read the news? Check on my e-mail?
no subject
Thanks, Snake. That means a lot.
Well, uh... reading the news is a start. And you can shop! Not that we could really have it delivered, or anything. Hey, maybe we could set up a P.O. box, maybe even get Sunny some decent birthday presents. Normal things, things that aren't computer parts. I mean, that's probably what she wants, but she should still have other things.
Oh! And there's games to play, too. I bet you'd like some of them.

I didn't teach her how to skip work on the computer, though.
no subject
Maybe she'd appreciate learning the finer points of weapons handling or how to utilize a cardboard box. [She can't believe she's saying that even as a subtle tease.]

Time flies for both the muns and us. But hey... It's not like we have much of a moral ground to say anything. It's been a while since our last decent mission, though with our lack of leads, well. I guess it can't be helped.
It's something to do, no?
no subject
There isn't much to do without trustful sources, yet I wouldn't risk it following a lead out of a whim. Better keep tabs on what we have and move accordingly. For now.
You know I'm not the complacent type as well.
no subject
If things continue like this, though... I'm not sure how much longer we can take being inactive. There is a continued production of Metal Gear. You can bet I'm frustrated about not cracking just where yet.
My mun, on the other hand-- let's just say joblessness has had her antsy, but not enough to just get back to work yet.
