Where is your compassion? Why, I hold no doubt in my mind that their lack of motivation comes in light of the heartbreaking news of our latest "break".

I think their motivation came back stronger because of the break, but it has always been a little finicky. They just never know what to do with me when I do get bothered; that and it seems the places that are in mind are closed off during these periods of 'having my strings pulled.'
