I know, I know, we're technically on hiatus but I can't keep quiet about this. Mest may be a guildmate but he's gone against everything we stand for doing something so unbelievably, unforgivably stupid. We were about to -negotiate- with him, and now he's Ruined EVERYTHING. To think I was actually worried about Natsu messing up negotiations- I should have been worried about Mest.

[ He doesn't deserve to be in Fairy Tail for pulling that shit. ]

I know... I -thought- he was reliable - I didn't think there'd be any harm in letting him tag along. I should have noticed how scared he was when he saw August. I would have told him to leave!

He definitely went crazy. That kind of thing...using someone who trusted us like their killer puppet? That's like a Dark Guild than Fairy Tail! And now that gramps has even more reason to fight us.

The things fear can make someone do.. I still can hardly believe he did that. [ She wasn't about to forgive him for it either. ]

If we get out of this, I don't know how he'll be able to keep calling himself a member of Fairy Tail. [ Because Natsu was - and it amazed her to say it - absolutely right. It WAS more of a Dark Guild's actions than a Light Guild. ]

I know you're angry.. I'm angry too, but for right now, at least, he is still ..our ally. Maybe... maybe we'll still be able to get through to August. [ Although seeing how pissed he was she ..had her doubts. ]

[Hopefully they can pull that off. Temptation to use Mest himself as the beating stick is rather high though.]

..either way, Mest darn well better undo what he did to Brandish's memories.

He's all but made himself an enemy of the guild. [That may be a bit overly dramatic, but his stupidity (unless he was intentionally trying to screw things up for Fairy Tail, which would be even worse) caused more damage to their chances of winning than most of the Spriggan Twelve.] If he felt like he had to use his magic at all, he could have easily altered August's memories to get him on our side, given how close he was.

[Not even going to discuss the rest of the chapter; the events with Gajeel are too painful to discuss, and her... sister? mother?... her relative flirting with Acnologia was just weird.]

You're wrong! Doing something like that is the actions of a Dark Guild, not Fairy Ta-- [ oh hi Erza, Lucy just realized who she had snapped at. Cough. Dontkillmehplz. ]

I.. I mean, we can't condone anyone who would do somthing like that against an ally OR an enemy. August was going to listen to us without even NEEDing his magic.

[Honestly, Erza's too angry to care about Lucy snapping at her - brainwashing a person who's kind at heart to do horrible things for an ultimately meaningless reason hits way too close to home for her, so any alternative to what Mest did would be an improvement.] ...You're right. Mest's magic may be useful for infiltrating, but it raises far too many questions when used like this.

[She nods at that last statement, though.] I know Mest will probably say he thought he had the guild's best interests at heart, [Though how non-fatally wounding the most powerful member of Zeref's forces when he's about to change sides, and possibly turning two powerful mages against Fairy Tail when they could have helped, is useful for the guild, she has no idea.] but to be honest, this course of action seems more like it came from someone who's working for Zeref.

I know he's scared, but he should have known.. his time with the Council has influenced him too much. He can't even think like one of us anymore...

[ Working FOR Zeref? That's... that might be a bit much ..s.he didn't want to think of an ally like that... ]

It's a shame. If he had been there to see Gajeel, Juvia, or Ultear change their lives around, it might have helped him to see that something like that is possible.

[She doesn't like the thought, but given that he just stopped August from switching sides, and the fact that he can alter the memories of seemingly anyone with no way of telling when he's doing it, she thinks it's better to be prepared just in case it turns out that way.]
