[ John isn't sure how to take that so his first reaction is one of annoyance and confusion -- and almost wondering if it was an insult. ]

[ He pauses as he thinks he remembers where he had heard that exact phrase and he isn't sure if he should be shocked or amused by what this means... ~~Other than that they might both be fans of the same episode.~~ ]

[ John so doesn't believe that so he squints at Sherlock suspiciously before nodding. ]

[ Adding, off-handedly, as he opens up his laptop. ]

[ John just smiles and shakes his head, knowing Sherlock has watched the show. ]

[ All that does is make John laugh. So much so that even covering his mouth doesn't stop it. ]

You think that because I said "They're always alive," it is proof that I watch that show? John, of course whoever it is, is always alive. It is the only logical explanation.

[ He laughs more because really, Sherlock, you're just proving his point. ]
